Review: J&M Warrell has been negligent in performing repairs and remodeling to our downstairs bathroom, resulting in extensive delays in completing the work, andPreventing us from having full use of our bathroom in a timely fashion.J&M and its owner [redacted] Warrell have taken 15 months to complete a project that should have taken only a few months. One reason for the extended work period is that Warrell would not provide us with a timetable for performing work and asked that we work around his schedule; he and his crew showed up when they wanted to with little or no notice, forcing us to be at home every weekday.Another reason for the prolonged work was that Warrell failed to properly diagnose the cause of, and repair, a shower leak that led to water damage and the bathroom having to be completely rebuilt. The leak continued for months after Warrell re-built the bathroom and the contractor insisted the specialty tile we had ordered for the shower stall was now causing the leak. After weeks of complaining about the leak, he complied with our request to grout the front of the tiles to stem the leak, but even after that, the shower continued to leak.About three weeks ago, after prompting, Warrell returned to inspect the shower and determined the show faucet was defective; specifically, a ring inside the handle. He said he would order the part and then schedule a time to return and replace it. Again, the contractor kept us waiting for three weeks, failing to keep us informed of his progress in ordering the part and not responding to our calls and email asking for an update. It was not until we contacted the consumer hotline at 6abc news that Warrell contacted us to say he had the part and scheduled an appointment to make repairs.Desired Settlement: We want shower fully repaired or a refund so we can hire another contractor to make repairs

Review: j & m built an addition on our house. j & m ordered the wrong size window grids for 2 bedroom windows and the wrong size window screen for 1 sunroom window. j & m claims (as of feb 2013) to have reordered window grids and have them sent to our house. j & m took the wrong size window screen and was to exchange it for the correct size. we have been waiting since july 2012 (when windows were installed) for these items. since april of this year I have sent 5 text messages and 2 e-mails to j & m and have gotten no reply and no grids or screen. j & m was paid in full on feb 28 2013.Desired Settlement: we want j & m to get these items to us asap
