This company does excellent work! I have been in the process of selling my house due to be being retired, and in order to sell my home I had to do a lot of renovating and repairs to sell itJ and M Contracting, LLC took the stress off of me and eased my fears of being a single retired lady working with contractorsJ and M Contracting, LLC replaced my entire roof due to the damages of a storm, and came in and beautifully renovated the entire house, i.enew flooring, cabinets, painting of the entire home, installation of new carpets, installed brand new hard wood floors etcThey were very courteous, with exceptional customer service and meeting my needs and strict timelines to have the show room readySo much so I wish I didn't have to sell it! I highly recommend J and M Contracting, LLC for any of your roofing and home renovating needs, and I will be a repeat customer!

We were contracted by the homeowner on April 12, **17 to remove all plywood from the roof due to mold and moisture, install all new plywood and an upgraded architectural shingle with ridge vent. The customers expressed that they could not pay for the upgrade of ridge vent to their home until 60 days...

after completion of the project. We were also contracted to remove molded and damaged sheet rook throughout the interior home replace and install and paint. J and M requires a deposit to begin any work, but since the homeowner was facing a mold issue we began work immediately out of the safety for the family and did not receive any payment. J and M charge the customers a material and labor price only of the removal and installation of plywood and submitted the material cost of the plywood to the homeowner. The remaining portion was paid directly to the roofer for the labor totaling 77 sheets at $** per sheet as we are charged. We installed all new plywood and the roof. Prior to the project the homeowners were told by their insurance adjuster and J & M that there siding was rotted and the insurance company would only pay to paint the siding. Our company was not contracted to complete that work since the siding needed to be reinstalled. We removed all the damaged sheetrock as necessary and where the sheetrock was not replaced – because it wasn’t needed we applied that part of their payment to offset the plywood repair to help with the homeowners out of pocket expense. When all work was completed we met with homeowners to discuss the issues they had with the roof, 2 holes in the roof, scuff marks along the siding, metal and caulk along the siding and a piece of plywood shown on the left elevation of the roof. The foreman from the roofing crew was also present. The foreman stated that there were no holes in the roof the light showing through was actually from the rotted siding on the home. The metal and caulk was used to protect their home from further leaks where the siding was rotted along the roof. The foreman agreed to come back the following day with the crew to address and fix all of the customers concerns. We staid and met with the homeowners in their kitchen to go over the entire contract and were told they did not want to contract us for the remaining scope of the job for painting, siding, and gutters. They did address a concern for the gutters being damaged by the ladders – however there was already previous damage to their gutters that the insurance company was replacing. Their adjuster has all of those pictures. After 3 hours of meeting the homeowner wrote a check for the completion of the work J & M did – however they were not charged nor have they paid for any ridge vent. The following day the roofer went back to fix everything that was addressed, along with other items the customer insisted needed to fix or repaired that J & M had nothing to do with. The homeowners emailed J&M requesting pictures and receipts and all were returned via email – however the adjuster has the ones of the plywood. We were also asked to send a completion letter to be signed and sent to their insurance company by the homeowners because they were no longer in contract with J & M. J & M has never been sent any inspection orders showing that there were additional issues with the roof that needed to be fixed or repaired so that we could go back and fix anything for the customer. Per our inspection with the roofer and customer we had completed all work and there was no damage to the roof or plywood. We have attached all pictures to show where the plywood was removed and installed correctly. J& M would like a report from the inspector to show where any damage – or holes in roof were found. We may attache pictures of all work completed if needed.
