J & C Cabinet Shop

Responded to a ad in local newspaper on 9/23/11 to have a s et of bathroom cabinets built and some remolding done to our bathroom. Man agreed to paint walls tear out a wall, build new frame for our new tub, scrape and repaint ceiling, do some tiling around tub, put up new molding around doors and window, tear out old cabinets and set in new ones etc. He could not honor his ad in the paper saying "Free countertops with purchase of new kitchen or bathroom cabinets." When we questioned him about this he said ad should have said "of in stock materials only" He had nothing in stock we liked so he said he would build a base to go around our tub to match our cabinets to make up for it.He also said he would put up our fence that had been blown down by the recent storm. He said he had to have a deposit before he could build cabinets. I have all the paperwork and a copy of the check we wrote him. He said he could start as soon as we were ready and with his crew working it would only take a couple of days. We called him on 9/14/11 to tell him our tub had been ordered and should be here on 9/25/11 and wanted him to start on 9/18/11. He said it would be at least 11/1/11 before he could get started. When I called him again on 9/21/11 to make sure he could start on Nov 1 he said he never told me he could start then and he had no idea when he could start. He was very rude and yelled at me to the point I was very upset and uncomfortable with him. At this point I do not want him in my hose again. I don't think he can produce what he said he could do nor do I want him to. He now has my money and my cabinets and all the other workers are waiting on him. I would really like a refund of my money and start over with someone that I can trust and that is not rude to the customer.
