Received phone call from company even though I am on CRTC's Do Not Call List and have no relationship with this company.On May 13, 2014 at 3:42 PM I received a live phone call from a woman claiming to represent Jim Campbell & Sons, a home renovation company. I hung up at this point because a) I rent an apartment, not a home, b) have no dealings with this company, and c) am on the CRTC's DO Not Call List. It is, therefore, illegal for Jim Campbell & Sons to harass me or contact me in ANY way.Desired SettlementI wish the company to never call or otherwise contact me EVER again. [redacted]

I needed a trustworthy contractor [redacted]. I saw his ad as a family business, called him, he came right away. Said his son's work with him but never saw them once in the 4 months. He told me to trust him, he knows what he's doing, he's the best. He told me it will take 5 weeks and I need to pay him $12,000 a week until the job is done. I paid every week through June when it was raining and he said it will be done when the rain stops. 3 weeks + $36,000 later they went to put in the custom made windows and they were all wrong. (July 4) They did, May week ending, take off doors siding (basically destroyed the outside of the house) but did not finish anything. I've been asking for receipts but he can't find them. He has told me that the railing on front step and faux rock beside the door was left over from other jobs. Now the signed contract is over and the house is ready to collapse. Something needs to be done before the roof falls in. [redacted]. Now I am paying interest on a line of credit for $70,000 I gave him back in June. Desired SettlementI want to have my house back the way it was when it was not falling apart or even fixed so we won't freeze this winter. This is why I started this in May.
