Poor Customer Service
If this is the same company American Home Warranty uses, ask for a different contractor. Everything I am seeing about the company through reviews, seems accurate in my personal opinion. Ask for a different contractor. I am actually getting ready to kick American Home Warranty to the curb.No wonder their rating dropped to a 7.4-7.6 out of a 10

An out of tune one man band.
JDL was assigned for our Home Warranty. I submitted a claim for my A/C saying it wouldn't always cool and that when I went outside I heard a "hum". He comes by, 8 days after my initial request with the home warranty.

He shows up and then misdiagnoses my A/C problem. He said the "Power Saver" box attached to my A/C, which is owned by the power company, is the cause of my problems. I call the power company and they come and get the box. At this point, A/C is completely broke, and it's 90F in my house. The Power Company tech looked at the inside and said "your capacitor is out, come look, it's bulging". And it sure was. I call back JDL 5 times. He eventually calls me back several hours later after I had called the Home Warranty company again. He said he can get me in Monday. Mind you it is ALREADY Monday afternoon. So between my initial request and him coming to repair the item, it would be 3 weeks to get my A/C working again.

Unprofessional
Called multiple times no answer. Referred by my warranty company he canceled my appointment then tried to blame me saying I didn’t call him back to confirm. That he didn’t have any appointments available for a whole week from my original request. I told him that was too long. This was on a Thursday. He told me to call the warranty company back to see if I can get a different company to come out to service me, I decided to keep the appointment that I thought I had called him Friday Saturday and Sunday no answer Monday rolls around I called the warranty company They tell me that my appointment has been canceled OK open up the same ticket John from JDL calls me again. saying that he doesn’t have the original day available anymore and that now is going to be another week stay away stay far away, unprofessional, misleading. He continues on to give me hogwash about not knowing how the system works. I wasn’t born last night John , you telling me that you don’t know how a system works with a company that you’ve been working with for multiple years blow it out your old Wazoo

I also was assigned to this company through my home warranty company. I never received a call after I left 2 messages, my warranty company called, emailed twice and again, no call back or email from JDL! I would not recommend this company to anyone, and if you have a warranty company, and they give you JDL Immediately ask to be assigned to someone else. Unfortunately you have to rate them, but the 1 star they got wasn't deserving.

I was given this company for my home warranty repair for my garbage disposal. I purchased my first home, and move in to find my garbage disposal leaked so had to get it repaired. This man is not able to give you any sort of time that he can be there. He just gives you a day and calls when he's on his way. I work during the day so trying to drop everything and be there when he only give you 5-25 minutes is impossible and I cannot afford to take off work. Finally had my sister sit there and wait for him last week, and he came out, turned the water on, and told me there was a hole in the disposal. He said he had to order a disposal which took another week, and now I have to try to leave work early to get it put in again. He tried today and I couldn't leave without losing my job so he said he can't come back until next week. So now I have been in my first new home for over 2 weeks with no kitchen sink and still have to wait another week to get it repaired. He took my $100 deposit and said he could not give any of it back, even though all he did was turn on the water and let it drip under the sink. Now I have to go through my home warranty people and try to find someone else. That's horrible customer service.
