I am being threatened with a lawsuit for a loan that monies was paid upon after no contact from this company was made to myself.
Approximately 2 days ago (today is June 4) my mother received a call from a JD Marketing Group asking to verify my information and in doing so was given personal information regarding a loan that the company is claiming I am attempting to defraud them in. My mother gave me the woman's name, [redacted] x [redacted] with whom I made contact with today to attempt to settle the matter. Ms. [redacted] claimed that their company had attempted to make contact with me on several dates and had sent letters to my home address, none of which were received, phone calls or letters. In attempting to explain my situation, Ms. [redacted] became extremely aggressive and threatening. I asked several times for her to allow me to speak and not speak above me and she continued to loudly speak above me. She then began to threaten my mother stating that she was now involved in this case because their company had spoken to her and she verified my information so now they are going to sue her as well for making statements saying she will attempt to help me resolve this. Ms. [redacted] explained my options and I said that at the moment I'm working part time and going to school while being a single parent I can't make the down payment for the payment arrangement at this time. She then asked what date would I be able to do so, as I looking over my calendar she said that it wasn't her problem and those were my options. Several times I asked to speak to another supervisor with which I was told there was no one else. Again several times I asked her to not speak to me in the manner that she was speaking and she hung up on me. I called the number back in an attempt to speak to someone else to resolve the matter and she came on the line again, speaking even more rudely and even yelling threats against myself and my mother stating, well you wanted to take out a loan and now want to blame someone else for it not getting paid. I wasn't able to put two words together during the entire length of the conversation.
