Sent him $3500 for a job. Fiance totaled his vehicle and suffered personal injury. [redacted] agreed to refund me in full but has failed to do so.
I dealt with [redacted] directly. He had done a major job for me on a rental in ND. I trusted him. He was dependable. I had other issues with the same rental and asked him to fix it. He was charging me $6,800+ and I gave him $3500 down with a check drawn off a credit card. I sent him the money and he cashed the check on 10-22-13. I called him a few days after I sent the check and told him my fiancé totaled his vehicle and suffered injury and asked him to put the job off for a couple of months due to personal hardship. He said he already spent about $1,750 +/- on supplies but could sell that and refund me in full within a week. I followed up about a week later and couldn't get in touch with him. I called and texted many times but he avoided me. He finally called me back on 12-10-13 and left me voice mail asking me to call him back. I did as soon as I discovered the voice mail (within 30 minutes)and it went to his voice mail. I called 2 more times but it went to voice mail. He later that day texted me and said his son was in the ER and that he'd call me back as soon as he left the ER. I've not heard from his since. I tried to dispute the transaction with Wells Fargo but because it was a cash advance, they couldn't help me recover the funds. I am paying on that credit card and will be for the next year. [redacted] promised me a refund and has not delivered. He in in fact, has done nothing but avoided me with every attempt to resolve this. My last text message to him on 12-23-13 was "let's just get this resolved, please call me back". Still nothing. I don't know what to do at this point.
