Review: J Elder Contracting was hired April 17,2013 to set up privacy fencing around the perimeters of our property which included:PVC fencing for rear yard and front sides of home6ft fence paneling will be installed5x5 white vinyl post will be installed every 6ft of fencePost will be cement in the groundDouble drive gate installed on left front side of homeSingle gat center install on right front side of home Stipulations:1) Work will be performed Monday thru Saturday during the hours of 7am to 5:302) Any changes made by State, County, or local office or officials during or after construction will be considered a change order.3) Project will take approx. 3 days after material received from Vendor. Delivery time frame is 1 week4) Based on delivery of fencing full cost of material is required by Vendor before ordering.Payment terms as follows:1) Make checks payable to : John Elder, Owner2) Acceptable forms of payment are: Cash,CheckOur complaint is that the client did not even start the job nor did he provide any supplies that were supposed to be purchased to complete job. We paid him $10,448.00 in advance with a balance due of $3052.00. We refused to pay him the balance of a bathroom job we contracted him for because he did not complete that either. It is February 2014 and we are looking for a full refund of 10,448.00 for this project that wasn't even started. Desired Settlement: 10,448.00
