Review: Repeated no-refund for bad bottles of wine. On two different occasions we tried to return a bottle of corked wine and were told by the customer service representative in the store that they had to get the owner on the phone to get his approval. The owner tells them to ask for your name and number and never calls to give you the refund.Desired Settlement: 1 bottle of [redacted] and [redacted] and 1 bottle of Honig wine delivered to: [redacted]

Dear Revdex.com,

This letter is in response to your letter requesting my response to complaint #[redacted]. At J. Evan's Wine, customer

satisfaction is our number one priority however, sometimes it is not possible to make all customers happy all the time.

In reference to the complaint [redacted] made on 9/**/13 about a bottle of [redacted] and [redacted]

wine that she purchased on 9/**, we feel that her complaint was invalid.

The owner of J. Evans was called by the store clerk when Ms. [redacted] came in on 9/**/13 to complain about the bottle of wine she had purchased the previous day and the clerk was told to take Ms. [redacted]'s contact information so that he can call her back to resolve the issue. The owner went to the store at 4:30 that same day and called Ms. [redacted] (see enclosed phone record from J Evans) after he tasted and inspected the wine.

The call went directly to voice mail, so he left a message for Ms. [redacted] saying he was aware that she came back to store to return the bottle of wine and wished to discuss it. The owner found the bottle of wine not only uncorked, but he found it to be delicious and of exceptional quality.

The next day, Monday 9/**/13, [redacted] from [redacted] who is the salesman for [redacted] and [redacted],

inspected and tasted the wine and also found it was exceptional.

The [redacted] have a history of returning wine that they feel isn't up to there standards however just because they don't like it,

that doesn't mean the wine is "bad" and therefore that doesn't warrant a bottle to be returned. In the past, we have always given

the [redacted]s the benefit of the doubt and exchanged bottles of wine for them even when the bottles were not "bad" in the hopes of

making them happy but this has happened way too often.

At this point, we are sorry to lose the [redacted]s as customers, but it would be the best for both of us if they would shop elsewhere.

As far as their settlement goes, an offer was made for them to come back and pick up the wine so that they can enjoy it that evening

and therefore the subject is closed.
