#[redacted] I am owner/worker of Awah African Hair Braiding located at [redacted] Chicago III 60805.1 have recently received a complaint from a customer by the name of [redacted] who was referred by a long-time customer named [redacted]. When [redacted] called to schedule her appointment, she was told that she would have to come to my house as I would not be in. we scheduled her appointment for August 03, 2016. She came in and asked for "BIG BRAIDS" after showing me a picture of what she wanted (Senegalese Twists) I told her the price would be $250.00 after asking for the nearest [redacted] location, she stepped out and came back saying that [redacted] told her it would only be $200.00.1 then clarified that my prices start at $200.00 and go up from there. The more hair, the higher the price. She then said she only had $200.00, and began digging through her purse to find more money. She first found a $20.00 and eventually found another $8.00. She paid me the $228,000 and I accepted it, and said it was ok. I went ahead and provided her services. After the first few braids, I asked her to go look at the size and the length to make sure she was satisfied with both. She was satisfied and I continued. When I was done after 6 hours, I sent her back to check if shewas still satisfied. She was still satisfied and came back to hug me. She did say that she would be back, and that she would like her twist more bigger next time. She told me she was super excited and going on a date on Orland Park for the free popcorn. The next day she text me. Please see attached for messages. In conclusion, I feel that she received $230.00 worth of work for only $228.00. The twists were not as big as she originally requested, but yet she left satisfied and said she would be back for services again. As you can see in the text messages, she has began harassing me asking for her money back. But yet she expects to keep all of the hair in the twists. I explained to her that I have never given a refund, and I refuse to do so, since she left satisfied. I also have a problem with the fact that she never asked them to be fixed, only wanted money. I never cut, or did anything to her natural hair except twist with hair extentions. I do not feel that I owe this woman anything. Thank You for your time in this matter.
