I paid [redacted] to do a photo session and provide a cd and two poses of my family. He did the photo shoot but I never received the package.I purchased a [redacted] certificate for $79 on July 11th. It was for J Herndon Photography to provide a cd and pictures from a photography session that he would come onsite to do. He charged me an extra $30 by check only to come to my location because he said it was a little further than he is used to traveling. I called him and scheduled the session for July 22nd. That morning it rained alot, so I called him to confirm the appointment for that day. He suggested we reschedule since it was raining, but I chose not to because I arranged for a few of the people in the photo to come from out of town and out of state just to take this picture on this date. He arrived and did the photo shoot. He said he had to go out of town to see his sister that he had not met before and he would have the cd ready and pictures ready to view online by August 9th. He said if I don't hear from him, then call him back. He said he could stick the cd in a convenient place like his mailbox so we won't have to coordinate a time when we are both free to pick up the cd. He said that would be easier. I contacted him by email on August 8th to see if the pictures were ready since I had not heard from him. He emailed me back on August 11th in a very brief email, simply stating "I still need a few more days. I am still running behind. So sorry for the delay." I gave him a few days and emailed him back on August 14th to see if the pictures were available. I never heard back from him ever again. I called multiple times. A few times I could not leave as his answering service would not allow messages at that time. I called several times again, and was finally able to leave a message around August 19th. I bought the certificate from [redacted] so I emailed them as well with my concerns. [redacted] emailed me back on August 20th and stated [redacted] was having problems with his voicemail and has since fixed it. They said he was working on contacting me back. I gave him a few days to contact me back and still heard nothing. I emailed [redacted] back on August 22nd still concerned that I would never hear back from [redacted]. In that email I requested a refund of my money. Instead of refunding my money, In an email on August 23rd [redacted] said they would reach out to him again and tell [redacted] to contact me. On August 26th [redacted] said they got in touch with the business and he should be reaching out to me in 3 business days. Again I heard nothing from [redacted]. I emailed [redacted] on September 3rd again stating that I have not heard from [redacted]. I again demanding a refund to my credit card. [redacted] emailed me on September 4th offering a credit to their website in the form of [redacted]. I informed them that this was unacceptable as that was a lot of money I paid for a service and products not received. Also, the money was paid by multiple people, so both persons need their cash back to not necessarily spend on another product not wanted through their site. I still am out of the $30 check that I gave him to come to my location. I need to get that back from J Herndon Photography.Desired SettlementI need to get back my $30 check that I paid when he came to my house. I am also devastated by the tremendous amount of effort and planning I put into that day to get nine people in the same place for the photo. I drove 200 miles from Nashville to Memphis for the sole purpose of taking this picture. I arrived the afternoon before the day of the shoot, and left 2 hours afterwards. I think I should be reimbursed for that distress, emotionally and the travel effort I made for no reason. I spent approximately $70 to travel for the photo shoot. I think that should be refunded too due to [redacted] unprofessionalism and disregard for providing services and products promised. Business Response The disc has been ready for weeks. I have sent multiple emails to [email protected] but have gotten no reply. I will be happy to mail the disc if someone will contact me and let me know where to mail it.Final Business Response The disc was mailed last week.
