Complaint[redacted] replaced boiler last winter for $10,000. Have requested they correct pipes banging/water spillage/steam escaping over 6 times now. Ignored.[redacted] replaced our boiler last winter during a cold snap for approx $10,000, paid in full. We had NO problems w/ noisy pipes or leakage previous to replacement. Since the day the new boiler was turned on my pipes have banged like someone is hitting them w/ a hammer, the radiator in my 3 year old daughters room snaps and bangs and 3 radiators leak including hers water all over the hardwoods and spit so much steam the plaster cracked. She is terrified to sleep in there with the heat on. I tried to address this with 4-5 follow up calls last winter. 2 different men from [redacted] came out, one calling the [redacted] tech who pointed out that [redacted] used a coupling incorrectly in the replacement and that was probably causing my issues incompetent and then left after doing nothing, the other put some pink stuff in our boiler and told my husband to change valves. Now the radiators spray pink water on my hardwoods. I called again 2-3 weeks ago before heating season to try to get it addressed and was told a [redacted] would call me. Nothing,I was completely ignored. Heat is on now, problem is just as bad as last winter. They do not stand by their work, and it was shoddy to begin with. I am terribly disappointed with the way we have been treated.Desired SettlementPlease fix what you did to my house and pipes. Immediately. We paid you ten thousand dollars and it's the right thing to do. I should not have to pay another plumber, you need to show that you stand by your work.Business Response We installed a new boiler for Mrs. [redacted] on January 24, 2013. We returned on January 26, 2013 to check leaks (unrelated to the boiler installation) and found 2 steam vent valves leaking. At that time, the customer informed our service technician that they would replace the valves themselves (see copy of attached work order). On February 2, 2013 we skimmed steam boiler and added cleaner to the system. In March, 2013, we installed a water heater for Mrs. [redacted]. Sometime around the end of September 2013, Mrs. [redacted] called our office to service the boiler and check leaking radiator. On October 24, 2013, we sent a service technician to check out system and found the same steam vent valves still leaking. Her husband was going to change the valves in January, 2013 but apparently never did. We installed the vent valves and solved the problem.
