Painting is working hard to take care of this issue.

Review: I contracted with [redacted] owner of J and J Painting to repair stucco and paint my home on May 14, 2014. The stucco repair was started on May 20th and was completed shortly thereafter. I was expecting the caulking of cracks to be completed when the painting crew started to put plastic over the windows in preparation to begin painting. They were going to skip the pressure washing of the house. I called [redacted] and he made them remove the plastic from the windows and wash the house,which was part of the signed contract . On June 17th a new crew of painters arrived to finish the caulking and paint. They finished on June 27th. On July 22nd I had [redacted] the owner come over to my house to show him that all the paint on the house was cracking. He stated that he didn't understand why and would have his paint rep look at it. on September 30th He came over with the paint rep and the paint rep said that the paint had been applied sixteen times too thick and that was the reason it cracked. [redacted] then said he would be over in a few days to paint a wall of the house and let it sit for two weeks to see what would happen.That was thirteen days ago and the test paint has not been applied. And no call from [redacted]. He has agreed to repaint the entire house. I am really tired of waiting and do not feel like J and J painting considers my job is important or has any priority. I originally contracted this job to be done in June while the temperatures outside were good and do not want to get into cold weather. There are also some stucco repairs that have to be redone. I had all the rain gutters and downspouts removed before the paint job and new ones installed afterwards at an expense of $2,700.00 so that I would be assured that the paint under them is good. Now the paint is cracked under the downspouts (the gutters are mostly attached to the fascia and the fascia is not cracked ) When I showed this to [redacted] he said the cracks were O.K. Not to me they aren't.Desired Settlement: Repaint body of house immediately. My contract states two coats of paint shall be applied. J and J Painting wants to only paint one coat of paint over cracked paint. I want two coats per contract. J and J to cover expense of having a professional gutter company to remove and reinstall downspouts.

Review: Work was performed at our home by owner, Mr. [redacted] and his crew. While they did an excellent job on the painting they agreed to return in one year to re-calk the and paint the ceiling beam as well as to correct a crack in the bathroom ceiling paint. [redacted] signed an agreement of this nature, however, I called in April (the agreed upon timeframe) and he said he would be there soon. Since this time I have called several times and [redacted] doesn't answer or return my calls. It is now August 17th and 4 months past the agreed upon timeframe. I consider the work incomplete and unsatisfactory. I spent $9,500 on a beautiful job just to be unsatisfied over such a small yet important repair.Desired Settlement: My desire is that [redacted] and his crew return to finish the job as stated in the contract.
