Review: J M Plumbing & Heating Corporation installed a gas tankless water heater in our home in early February of 2013. Our existing gas meter does not supply enough gas to the home. So, J M Plumbing installed a temporary gas line where we can use the gas tankless water heater as long as we turn off all other gas appliances in the home. For example, we have to turn off the gas furnace that heats our home if we want to run hot water.

J M Plumbing was supposed to complete and file with [redacted] a "split meter" request form. Once [redacted] gets the request form, [redacted] will schedule an installation of the split gas meter. A split gas meter would allow for enough gas to be supplied to all of the appliances in the home, including the gas tankless water heater. I cannot complete and file the split meter request form as it requires technical expertise--i.e., identification of the gas usage of the home's appliances and the type of gas lines required. After [redacted] installed the split gas meter, J M Plumbing was supposed to finish the installation of the permanent gas line for the water heater. J M Plumbing told me it would be about 3 to 6 weeks before [redacted] would contact me about installing the split meter.

After 3 months of not hearing from [redacted] and one month of asking J M Plumbing about the delay, I contacted [redacted] about the split meter request. [redacted] has no record of receiving the split meter request form.

I brought this to J M Plumbing's attention last week (the fact that [redacted] has no record of the request form), and J M Plumbing said [redacted] lost the form and J M Plumbing would refile it. I've asked J M Plumbing for a copy of the form for the past week. They promise to send it, but then never follow through.Desired Settlement: I would like J M Plumbing to finish the job--file the split meter request form with [redacted] and then finish installing the permanent gas line when [redacted] comes out to install the split meter.
