Work was started and not completed under two separate contracts. Contractor left the job one day and never returned. Calls to him were unanswered. First contract, dated [redacted], was for the installation of a underground pipe and sump pump system in the basement that was guaranteed to keep the basement dry. The first heavy rain after completion of the system found the basement again with water that needed to be vacuumed out. The contractor decided to fix the problem, he would install a second sump pump and pit at the other end of the basement. His crew had jack hammered out the new concrete, dug the hole for the pit and put in a new collection barrel and left for the day on [redacted]. Worker said they would be back tomorrow, [redacted], to install the second sump pump and discharge line. To date [redacted]no one has returned. Phone calls are not answered. I paid a total of $4,665.00 for this guaranteed system. On the second contract; because the basement sheet rock walls got wet and mold began to grow and because the contractor, showing me with a moisture meter, talked me into gutting the basement (walls, ceilings, framing lumber, insulation, etc.) and rebuilding the two rooms that previously existed in the basement. He had done the demolition and removal of the majority of the old materials and began to install wood framing materials at the same time the second sump pump was to be installed. This framing was put up over concrete floors that were to be sealed first and over walls that were to be treated for mold prior to other work being done. I signed this contract on [redacted], again with the last contact with a representative of the contractor on [redacted]Desired SettlementI would like the contractor to return and complete the work, as described in the contracts that I signed with him in good faith.

On [redacted] I gave [redacted] a down payment of 1000.00 dollars to begin prep for a concrete floor to be poured. Scheduled pour for 07/11/14, dissappearedWork was started and not completed. Contractor left the job one day and never returned. Calls to him were unanswered. Took my money and ran. In my opinion this is considered criminal and he should be prosecuted by law.Desired SettlementI would like my down payment back and he should be held responsible for his actions which would be considered larceny by law.
