J. Pip's Paving Company Reviews (5)

Should be a zero star. Did an estimate almost 3 months ago. They were hired for the job. Kept on pushing the drive way job to different days. After almost 3 months they cancel the job the day they were supposed to show up. Sending a message that the owner who actually did the estimate decided that the job is not worth it?! Everytime I called them it was either no answer or send me an email a day later. If you know what's good for you stay away from this company! Plenty of real companies out there who does what they promise and deliver.

Review: Pip's expanded my driveway. Incorrectly installed a drain, drain backs up because driveway is now properly grated. Driveway now leaks into my garage which is attached to my house. Can only talk to Mrs. One excuse after another. [redacted] has lied and 4 months later they still haven't fixed my driveway. Only corresponds by email. Was suppose to contact [redacted] twsp 6 weeks ago and never did. I still have to stay up when it rains to attach sump pumps to get water from going into my garage.Desired Settlement: I want my money returned for the driveway, permit & sump pumps and hoses.

Review: I hired J. Pips Paving to pave my driveway. They provided me with an initial quote of $3,500 to pave the entire driveway with 3 inches of hot asphalt. The day they arrived to start the job, they increased the quote from $3,500 to $4,500. Upon initiation of the project, they determined that the elevation of the drainage pipe was too high, but they guaranteed me that this would not be problematic. Within barely 18 months, a hole developed in that area. One can plainly see that there was less than 1 inch of asphalt installed there. On the left side of the driveway, after each rainfall, there was over an inch of standing water. Several cracks started to develop all over the driveway and I began to notice concave areas throughout the entire driveway. I sent requests to [redacted] and he sent a crew over to repair the driveway. They arrived without prior notification and without consulting me as to how the repairs were to be handled. They patched the area where the water was standing and the patch is not even level with the rest of the asphalt. It is an eyesore and a tripping hazard. No one asked me if I was satisfied with the repairs before they left. None of the cracks were patched and the hole was shoddily fixed. There is still less than an inch of asphalt in those areas, so odds are another hole will develop. The only solution they offered was to fill the cracks and brush seal the driveway in the spring. This is not a fair compromise, in my opinion. I paid for an uneven, eyesore of a driveway that has become a tripping hazard. The poor workmanship has decreased the value of my home. I would like a full refund of $4,500 as well as additional compensation to pay for removal of the asphalt, as the entire driveway needs to be redone.Desired Settlement: The only solution they offered was to fill the cracks and brush seal the driveway in the spring. Review: We hired this company to seal coat our driveway. They filled any cracks & sealed the driveway & told us to not use it for 24 hours. We did not use the driveway almost 32-36 hours after it was done. I noticed some areas to be very sticky with the tar sticking to our shoes/feet. I called the company and asked them to fix the issue. It was not fixed. I called a few times again & left messages. I received a call finally this morning & the owner was very rude & said the problem was due to tire marks from my car. The seal coat should have dried in 24 hours. We have had our driveway sealed several times before and never faced this problem. I think the company used an inferior product & did a poor job. They do not stand by the service they provide. I have not yet paid for their service and I would like the problem fixed before I send out a check.Desired Settlement: I would like the company to fix the repair. Else, I need the bill to be cancelled. And I will hire another company to fix the problem.
