Review: My husband and I contacted [redacted] of JT Masonry in June of in regard to getting an estimate from him to have [redacted] Veneer installed on our home**[redacted] provided us with an estimate on June 6th, in the amount of $13,We were in touch with **[redacted] to let him know that we would like to move forward on having him begin the work as soon as possibleSince we were in the middle of remodeling our entire home before the birth of our son, we stressed to **[redacted] that we were only interested in moving forward if the work could be done in a timely matter**[redacted] assured us that although his schedule was busy, the work would be completed by the end of August On July 2nd, 2012, we gave **[redacted] an initial deposit of $7,in order for him to order our materials and get startedAt that time, he provided us with a formal contract for the job which outlined all of the details of price, payment and scope of workAfter providing him with our deposit and a signed copy of his proposal, it was a constant struggle to get in touch with him over the phoneThe times when we were able to get in touch with him, we were constantly told that because of other projects and the weather, our start date would have to be pushed back**[redacted] and his crew did not begin work on our home until mid October of Once they began the work, there were constant delays and he would have his crew work one to two days at our home and then pull off to work on other jobsThere was absolutely no priority in getting our job done in a timely manner even though we had already been pushed months behindIn July of when we gave **[redacted] our $7,deposit, we had spoke to him about our interest in also getting a [redacted] Veneer mailbox to matchOn July 22nd he provided us with an estimate for the mailbox and we let him know that we would be interested in getting it but expected it to be installed at the same time the [redacted] on our house was installed**[redacted] and his crew did not finish our house until November 10th of Although we were incredibly dissatisfied with his lack of urgency and ability to get in touch with him, we were pleased with the final quality of the [redacted] Veneer and promptly gave him a remainder check for $6,We were told by **[redacted] that he would return to our home within the next few days to install our mailboxWeeks and months went by without us receiving our mailbox and my husband tried on a minimum of two occasions to reach **[redacted] by phone and never received a responseWhen so much time had passed without any response, we assumed that we would no longer be receiving the mailbox and at that point we were fine with it**[redacted] never provided us with a formal contract for the mailbox and installationIn February of 2013, over four months since the mailbox was supposed to be installed, my husband and I come home to our front yard being dug up by someone we had never met before**[redacted], without any notice to us, instructed an employee of [redacted] (the company that manufactures the mailboxes) to bring it to our property and install itMy husband and I had a conversation with the employee of [redacted] and expressed our unhappiness and the fact that we were not even expecting to ever see the mailbox since so much time had passedHe apologized, but since he is not even an employee of **[redacted], there was not much he could doMy husband immediately put a phone call in to **[redacted] and once again, we received no return phone callWeeks and then months went by and my husband and I did not receive an invoice from **[redacted] for the mailboxWhen so much time had passed without any communication from **[redacted], we assumed that we were not billed as a courtesy for all of the significant delays we experiencedIn November of 2013, nearly nine months after the installation of the mailbox, **[redacted] showed up on our doorstep with an invoice in handHe stated to me that his accountant was going through his financials and realized there had never been a payment madeI made it abundantly clear to **[redacted] all of the above information and also letting him know that I would have my husband be in touchMy husband was in touch with him via email and let him know in a very professional way that we were incredibly unhappy with how he handled our entire situation and that he would like to speak to him in regard to proceedingWeeks later, we received a certified letter in the mail from **[redacted] that this was our third and final notice to pay for the mailbox and if we did not, he would file judgement with the District JusticeIt also stated on there that if we had any questions or concerns to please contact himWe were disgusted with the fact that the certified letter was technically our second notice, not third, seeing as we never received an invoice back in February of Additionally, to say that we should contact him with any questions or concerns when we had already tried to do that via email and received no responseMy husband and I were never not going to pay for the mailbox, especially considering we paid almost $14,for the Stone VeneerWe merely felt that with as unprofessional as he had been in handling our project, the least we deserved was a response via email or telephone.Desired Settlement: **[redacted] has been sent a check for the outstanding balance of the mailboxWe are not looking for any reimbursement but simply some acknowledgement in how he handled this situationI would also like for potential customers of his to be able to hear our experienceCustomer service was never a priority for **[redacted] and I think it is only fair for this to be acknowledged
