Review: Abandonment of project and substandard work by a General Contractor. Contractor abandoned the project on 11/25 and stated that without more money he could not do anymore work. The Contractor was prepaid 98% of the project budget and approximately 70% of work was left undone and other substandard work (rough-in shower must be rebuilt, exhaust fan install) he did must be redone or corrected. The City has issued a Correction Notice for code violations and unfinished work (electrical and plumbing). The Contractor destroyed a granite slab as a result of poor workmanship. Contractor damaged property in the home. He prematurely ripped out our 2nd working toilet and we are left with the use of only one bathroom. Work was done during October & November 2015.

Spouse is a disabled 60 year old US Navy veteran and without the use of our master bedroom (bed) and shower, his orthopedic issues continue to get worse.

The Contractor threatened to lien our home and stated he cancelled the Permit for the project. We have filed a complaint with the CSLB and Contractor did not attempt to contact us during the 7-day resolution period he was given by the Board.
