Good Morning,My name is Jay C [redacted] and I am co-owner of JThurston Fuel with James T [redacted] and I would like to respond to Mrs [redacted] 's complaint We received Mrs [redacted] 'S Cash Heating Oil order request via e-mail on Friday 10/16/ We called the number she provided (###-###-####) and left a message to call us to "finalize" her delivery request and payment terms which is our operating procedure We tried calling the number again on Sunday morning 10/and there was no answer so we did not schedule her delivery We deliver to [redacted] on Monday, Wednesday and FridaysOn Tuesday we received a call from Mr [redacted] asking if we had their delivery scheduled? We reviewed our records and confirmed a ticket was not generated for his delivery because we had not confirmed payment via a live phone call Mrs [redacted] then called us and said she had a left a message on our answering machine as to where a personal check was to be left for payment of the delivery We were extremely busy Monday and did not pick up her message until Tuesday We had planned to call her Tuesday to schedule the delivery for Wednesday but Mr [redacted] call us first A [redacted] Police officer contacted our after hours service line Tuesday evening 10/asking us to call his office Our ANSWERING service contacted me and I call the number he left that evening and spoke with the Officer on duty I explained to him what had occurred, I gave him my name & number and asked if they had further questions to please contact us Our office is open 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday thru Friday and we are also available 1/days on Saturday & SundayAs of today we have not received any further communication from Mror Mrs [redacted] or the [redacted] Police in regards to this matterWe have been in business over years and made in excess of 17,deliveries last year of which a good portion our drivers collect payment We are sorry the [redacted] family is out the $but their loss has nothing to do with [redacted] / J Thurston Fuel and we are very disappointed for them to think we had anything to do with their lossThank You Jay C***Co-Owner [redacted] / J Thurston Fuel [redacted] *** [redacted] ***###-###-####

Graffiti on My House!
Separate deliveries of home heating oil, different forms of graffiti on my houseThey used permanent marker on my house, owner claims it is used for address verificationI have house number markers on my property including a mailbox The drivers are defacing property all over the state The owner doesn't seem to be concerned about their employee(s) defacing personal property, when paying for a service Company also goes by Brass City Fuel, Thurston Energy and other alias

I’m disappointed by the customer service I experienced recently by the owner of this company I asked very nicely for pricing and instead of him giving me pricing he asked who I was using for oil now and how much I was paying I was taken aback by this answer because that wasn’t the reason for my call Not only that, his attitude was rude and his manner was awkward For an owner to act like this only makes one wonder how he treats his other customers and employees! I’ve gone elsewhere and recommend anyone else to do the same

I am a customer of them for many years and I feel it is unfair that everybody give just negative reviewsThis oil company's heating oil is the clearest oil that I have for long timeThe driver is always the same (Joe) and very friendly, very professionalThe customer service, I think he is the owner, is always respectful with me, and patient if I am asking questionsWhen I had problem with my furnace he was very helpfulSo overall I am sure that this company deserve a good review

Review: On October 16 -I went online to [redacted].com and scheduled an oil delivery .I had an oil price of $1.67 I received and email stating that [redacted] would contact me for a delivery in which they did. I called on October 18 and left a message on the 1800 number listed in the email from [redacted] stating I would like an oil delivery and where the money would be located because paying cash you receive a lower price. On Oct 19 we received no oil and the money was still were I left it, So again on that evening I called again stating all my information on a voicemail and requesting a oil delivery . The money was again placed under the mat and when returning home that evening the money was gone and no oil was delivered. Two phone calls were placed to [redacted] one from my husband and one by myself and we spoke to Jim. We were told there was no delivery ticket and that they don't deliver to [redacted] on Tuesdays. I told them well the $252.00 that was there was no gone and they were the only people who knew money was there. I told them I was calling the police to report an incident . An officer from the [redacted] Police Department came to my house I told him the story and he called the company and left a message to try to talk to the owner the business was closed. Since ,He has left numerous message since October 20 to have someone call him in regards to this matter. I have not been contacted or neither has he. He told me to file a complaint . I really hope something can be addressed in this matter.Desired Settlement: To have oil delivered or to be reimbursed the money.

Review: I ordered 100 gallons of oil from J. Thurston Fuel on 8/17/13 and the delivery was set up on 8/19/2013. The oil delivery man came to the house picked up the cash but didn't put any oil in the tank. So basically we were robbed for 360.00 and left with no oil.I attempted to call the answering service and didn't get any assistance. The on call person was very non chalant and stated it will have to be addressed tomorrow. I feel very strongly that we were scammed and it is not fair.

The customer paid our driver in person a total of $360.00.

The customer now has a 7.10 credit on her account.

We have left messages for the customer to call us.

We have the customers metered oil ticket.

the oil was delivered.

we left a message with the customer that her gauge on her oil tank should be looked at.
