Called Jack Pope Construction to repair roof leak around the chimney. Paid $500 in full. Roof still leaks. Gave guarantee (warranty) 1 year.On 3/4/16 Jack Pope made unsuccessful attempt to repair a roof leak. Estimate was $500 which was paid in full. Called Mr. Pope on 3/12 to notify him the roof was still leaking. I called 3/16 and he would not answer the phone.Desired SettlementRefund of $500 because the roof is leaking.Business Response On 3/2216, Jack Popewent bavk on recall and repaired leak and bought additional material to repair.I told homeowner when I repaired the first leak on 3/4/16 that he needed more material( which was rotten wood also)He told me to repair what he showed me and I did.I wasn't able to go back at the time he reported this.I went back the day he informed Revdex.com(3/22/16)to repair leak and added more material to stop other leaks.I just received letter today 3/30/16.I called homeowner Mr.[redacted] .This case is resolved...Consumer Response Jack Pope returned on April 24 (Sunday) along with his roofer. Mr. [redacted] will is not willing to come back to fix the mistakes his workers have done within a reasonable amount of time.He has totally messed up the sheet rock, the doors are not hung right, there is a hole around the fan. We have told him about the problems but he will not listen to us when we told him about these problems.He said that he can fix the problems quickly but he never has comeback.He also said that we ran him off after we told him about the problems but we paid him 1,700 dollars for the completion of the job. Then he started coming up excusses as he got sick, his truck was broke down and was in the shop getting repaired,he hurt his back couple time of times but in the need time he called up to get his tools from how house so he could do an another job somewhere else. I paid carpenter and electrician,and bought material. On 7/19 receive two hundred total seventeen hundred. Finish wall started sheetrock and mud,ho meowner came and told me to stop because she wanted her husband to look at work, I told her we was not finish she insist that we wait,in the meantime she call and said her husband was sick,we reschedule to following wk.I call her on 7/22 to pick up tools to go to another job while we wait(I do have a business) we agreed I got my tools I left all material that was bought on job site. One month pass I told with the balance of 800 dollars could she find someone else to Complete the sheetrock.she refuse and start threats.when I was ready I told her I needec half of balance to get job done she said no. I did nt do because I was afraid she wasnt goin to pay. The money was well spent on the work that I've already done for labor and material, I will not refund any money back because she wouldnt let me complete assignment. I [redacted] the owner of the house at [redacted]. on or about the early part of July Mr. [redacted] came to our house to talk about what we wanted done in the room we wanted remodeled and after he kept on calling and wanting to do the job for us he promised us he would do a great job we finally agreed for him to do the job. Different times I talked to Mr. [redacted] about the room he told me I would never be satisfied no matter what he did I told him I just wanted it right and if that was to much just give me back my money. Mr [redacted] told me he could not do that and then hung up on me.I [redacted] thinks the wiring is done wrong. Mr [redacted] is wrong about me being sick around July 22i I didn't get sick until July 30. There was never no contract done with mr pope I [redacted] and [redacted] never signed a contract. One time he called said he was sick one time he called said truck was in the shop and then another 2 times his back was hurting when I got home I called him to ask about his back and he said didn't I get his message on my phone. He would say different things in a nice way or not so kind way.He hung up on my wife a few times when she said things he did not want to hear. I would like for him to tell my wife and I what she said was threaten, I know she didn't do that. My wife told him over the phone she would pay what ever was necassry when they finished the work and she and I was happy . My wife told MR [redacted].that her and I was going to get a lawyer ,if we could not get any satisfaction thru the B.B.B. that was our only way out . Please explain to me why [redacted] and I would give someone 1700.00 and ask then to leave without not even finishing the job.On July 18 my wife and MR [redacted] went to home depot to look at stain for the doors and trim and while they were out she took MR [redacted] to [redacted] to buy himself and the worker at the house some lunch because he said that his wife did not leave him any money.Mr [redacted] was allow to come in to the house and get his tools with no one there . so why did we allow him in the house if we ran him off. Mr [redacted] is wrong about how much we still own him . It is 700.00 not 800.00 .Mr [redacted] called us once and told us he would call us when his back got better and he could come back to work .Ever time money was mention he would say lets go out side he didn't want the workers to hear that. Different times when I talked to him on the phone he would tell me the devil was after him and making him do wrong things and he just did not why he did things like he did. He would tell me he knew we were good people and we had really gave him a good chance to get the work finished but he told me I was crazy and needed to see a doctor. I only dealt with Mrs [redacted].after we leave he would come over with her and tell her what to tell me.I still say that I will not be paying any money back because she send in some unfinished work that was not completed and I was very much aware of that.do I neef to fax the written contract (which was never sign by Mrs [redacted]) because she said word of mouth that she didnt need to sign.I trusted her word because I was thankful she gave me the job.I have a daily work sheet from the beginning until the day she told Me to leave. Its a lot of things that is said its not true.you make it seem like I walked off,I was told to stopped,I left all materials that was bought in the house and as for as the electrical work we completed .that..the bid was real cheap for all the work we done especially the ele,tric was the whole bid and buildi.g a room. To be honest it should have been twice the bid.I thought I was helping by doing it so cheap.I understand why she didnt want to sign the contract. Once again I am very sorry but I cant afford any money back because the money was spent on labor for five days and material that was bought out of 1700.00. the repairs done to my home was terrible. I contacted another contractor to repair his work. his excuses were inexcusible.[redacted] came to my home and gave me an estimate on what it would cost to put wood flooring in 4 rooms in my home. I agreed to pay him for his services render to my home if I was completely satisfied. Mr. [redacted] came out to my home and started to work. After working for a brief period, he left his worker behind and left him there along to do the work. the worker did a poor job in the installing of the wood floors. when Mr. [redacted] finally came back, he had an arguement with his worker in front of me and my Dad. he even asked us to join in on the arguement which was over the poor installation of the flooring and the trimmings around the doors and the floors. His worker became angry and left walking home and Mr. [redacted] asked us not to pick him up and take him home and just let him walk home which was about 4 to 5 miles from where I live. Mr. [redacted] apologize for his worker but the fault was really Mr. [redacted]. He never came back to check on his helper. He left this man there the whole day with no food or water. All Mr. [redacted] did was critize the helper for the poor work he had done. yet Mr. [redacted] never attempted to help the worker after he left the first time.Desired Settlementthis man had did terrible work for one of my relatives in the past. and even though I was warned, I ignored the warning and felt that Mr. [redacted] deserved a second chance. He really needs to have his license revolked. and for him to leave his helper on the road to walk home is absurd. and for him to argue with his helper and to try to get the home owner involved in the arguement is ridiculous. So, no, I don't want him to ever to contact me again. The sub contractor was totally wrong and tried to use me because he messed the floor up because he was on dope and I didn't know it. When I confronted him he tried to play on the homeowner symphathy.I immediately told him to leave the premises because he was out of control.I am not making excuses, but he has not work for me since. It was totally the sub contractor responsibility to complete the job, the down payment went to him, I didn't make anything, it was not my place to cater to him with transportation or lunches, I was picking him up and dropping him off for days, this particular day after I confronted him about messing up the floor, he got smart in front of the homeowner and made a scene.the reason he walked home because he refused to ride with me because he befriended the homeowner to get in good standard so he could double cross me to get the rest of money. Under a contract written by Mr. [redacted], I paid him 1,800 dollars to remove rotten wood and repaint the wood upper part of a brick home. I paid Mr. [redacted] 1,800 to replace all rotten wood and to repaint all wooden upper parts above the brick home. From the beginning when I paid him there were problems, even though there was a written contract. Mr. [redacted] took the cheap way out by painting my shutters with paint from his shed which was the wrong color that I gave him the color swatch. This yr sep 2015 she called back we walked around her house and Totally agreed on the boards she pointed out to be replaced she picked the paint for shuttles,I painted the shuttles with the paint she picked after I painted she wanted to change color and wanted me to repaint.I did not use anything from my shed,that's not true,she is being dishonest.The custtomer never should have contacted Revdex.com,I am not a member,and I don't understand why I received this letter.This complaint is Totally untrue.She didn't have enough money for the job,I did complete with the money she paid for.in order to do remaining boards she needed more money, No refund will be given.
