Jack's 4 Corner

Review: n 5-14-13 while in route to Lake Roosevelt on State Rt#155, approximately 4 miles from Grand Coulee, WA, my boat trailer blew out the bearings on the right side of my boat trailer. The trailer was behind my ‘33 foot motor home. The boat trailer is a ‘2000 EZ boat trailer for an ‘ 18 boat. I called AAA Travel, but, they did not have a local company to handle our problem. This occurred on a curve, up a hill and blocking one of the two lanes. Due to the danger, a local citizen notified the nearest local tow truck service - Jacks 4 Comers in Grand Coulee. The driver said he was their mechanic and that he could fix the problem. We were going to Lake Roosevelt for 5 days of fishing. They fixed the trailer, we fished and then went home to Yakima. Two weeks later we returned to Lake Roosevelt to fish, when we attempted to back the trailer up to park it, one wheel locked up. The mechanic from Jacks, [redacted], came and got the trailer. He said he did not think that he had properly bled the brakes. We fished and then went home. Two weeks later, we returned to the lake, the same problem occurred. Again [redacted] took the trailer and repaired it. Two weeks later we returned to the lake, the same problem. This time [redacted] said he fixed the trailer and it was ok to take home. I did not trust this, so I contacted the owner of Jacks, he and I then spoke to [redacted] together. He told the owner that the trailer needed a new brake cylinder, but, that this was not their problem because they had not worked on it. The owner told him to order the parts, express. [redacted] said that he did and that they would be in Thursday or Friday as the latest. On Friday, I called [redacted], he did not have the parts. I obtained the phone number of the parts house where he ordered the parts. They said that he had no right to give the date of that Friday, that they could not have the parts to us before another 5 days. I told [redacted] to disconnect the brakes and we took the trailer back to Yakima. Jacks had charged me $942.16.1 contacted ITEC Inc in Yakima, they repaired the trailer for $760.61 , see attached bill. The trailer now works fine.

I feel that Jacks should re-reimburse me for the repairs, since they did not fix the problem. I also am upset that they told me the trailer was ok to take home, when they

knew that it had a brake problem. The trailer could have jack knifed and I could have lost the trailer, boat and possibly damaged my motor home.

Any help that you may be able to render to resolve this matter will be greatly appreciated.
