Jack's Auto Glass Reviews (2)

December 2, 2014Dear [redacted],In reference to [redacted]'s complaint | would like to point out that we simply requested that the vehicle and the object that was lodged in his blower motor to be brought with him for the manager to see. The first time he arrived with the receipt from the...

dealer and the object. No car. The second time he arrived on a Saturday in which the manger was not here. He is scheduled Monday through Friday and every other Saturday. Therefore his wasted trip and bridge toll could have been avoided if he stated when he would be coming or schedule a time. This seems like a simple request being he is requesting a refund for repairs done . In thirty plus years in business we have never had this occur. We give a lifetime guarantee on workmanship for all windshield replacements. So it is not as if we do not stand behind the quality of our work. However we would like to have the opportunity to see the vehicle whether it is a leak or in this case something else. Obviously in this situation the [redacted] probably had no idea that the problem stemmed from the windshield which prompted him to go to the dealership. However being we were not given the opportunity to inspect the vehicle prior to it being repaired the request we made does not seem unreasonable. Like l stated this is not something we have ever had occur before.Reimbursement will be made if the customer does as requested. Without supporting documentation photographs etc. we are taking his word that this even happened. Please feel free to contact me if you have any additional questions.Thank youJoan SAdministrator

Review: I took my wife's 2013 [redacted] to Jack's auto glass on August 2, 2014 to get windshield replaced. And 2 weeks later my wife said when she turned on ac it sounded like it was going to blow up and noise was extremely loud. So When I took it to the [redacted] dealer on October 10, 2014 they looked in with camera and discovered a piece of rubber. It wrapped around blower motor cage and had to be removed and then put back together. They asked if we had windshield replaced and said it came from when they must of scraped off rubber after pulling off broken windshield. So it wasn't cover under warranty and was going to cost me $164.73 and had to get it fixed. So I called Jacks when I left [redacted] dealer and spoke with Adam a manager, he said to come in and will take care of it. So now I travel 30 minutes from New Jersey to jacks which is in [redacted], there's $5 bridge toll and gas. I get there and Adam says I can't give you anything without seeing the car. I explained its my wife's car and you didn't tell me that on the phone. I was able to take her car there on Saturday October 18, 2014 because she works Monday to Friday and needs her car during week. I get there and there's no Adam working so I spoke with another manager and he said theres nothing he could do, I told him Adam asked me to bring car up. He never even got up to see the car. Said it's impossible that this can happen. I told him authorized [redacted] mechanic made this up and we had car for 16 months then 2 weeks after getting windshield replaced at Jack's auto glass this happens. So I called Jack's Auto glass at ###-###-#### on Tuesday October 28th and spoke to that manager from that Saturday and he said he would have Adam call me back. I called [redacted] dealer where the car was fixed and spoke with service associate Robert Barbarino ###-###-#### and he said have Jacks call him and they can speak with the mechanic. Inever got call back he took my name & phone number so there was no reason for not getting a return call. Now it's 2 days later and trying to get Revdex.com to help in this situation. All I wanted and I told both of these managers is to be reimbursed for the $164.73 for the unnecessary cost I aquired from Jacks. I understand things happen and it was an accident, but I shouldn't have to go through all this for something that happened at Jacks. Thanks for your help.Desired Settlement: Refund for $164.73 that [redacted] dealer charged from having my windshield replaced at Jack's auto glass on August 2, 2014 when piece of rubber fell in the dash and got wrapped around cage of blower motor.
