A call was made to this business for dry wood, that wood be ready to burn. I was told that they had some. However, it wood be cut and they would deliver that same day. This did not happen the same day as they stated. I was home all day that day waitingI called the next day to see what had happen. I was told that they called. So, they finally brought wood the next day. My husband and I tried to get this wood to burn for two days and it would not burn. We called and told the secretary theproblem. She replied that she would tell her husband. When my husband calledback to find out the solution he was told that they would return $100.00. We havecalled this business twice and waited 2 weeks for a check. The unfortunate part of this problem is that this has been the coldest two week and the fact of snow. We depend greatly upon our wood head being senior citizens.Product_Or_Service: WOODDesired SettlementI question the integrity of a person that would knowingly sell you a product under falsepretends. Then offer you $100.00 and avoid you and not forfill his promise.I would be happy if they gave me $100.00 worth of wood that I could burn and it wouldproduce heat..... Or just give me the money and I will buy wood from someone else.

Mr.[redacted] agreed to split and stack some Oak that I had gathered to a central location near my wood pile. He has failed to honor this agreement. In early November 2014, the younger Mr. [redacted] came to my home at my request for a bid, looked at a pile of Oak that I had gathered , and estimated that I had two chords of wood to be split and stacked. His price was $200/chord. I told him that I thought he was low on the estimated quantity of wood but I would say there was three chords $600 total to split and stack If there was less , he made out, more and he didn't make as much. He agreed to do it for that $600 price. He showed up to do the work at noon on Dec.4th,2014 some two weeks after giving the estimate and with inadiquate equipment to handle the large trunk pieces he had agreed to split he needed a vertical splitter. His crew worked the remainder of the 4th and came back on the 5th this time with a front loader tractor. It soon becamr aparent to Mr. [redacted] that he had seriously underestimated the work to be done.He wanted to " trade wood for work". I refused the offer. In the afternoon , he came back here with a large trailer and , without asking , loaded 26 pieces of tree trunk average diameter 33" on this trailer. He said that he was going to take my wood "back to his lot and bring back some he had already split". I refused to allow this to be done. I told him that I contracted to have this tree split and stacked here on my property , nothing less. He was not happy. He then complained about the job , the money he had agreed to work for, etc.I finally told him that I was willing to raise the agreed upon payment to $800 and NO MORE. We shook hands on that.I would not continue to pay more and more as there would be no end to that deal. His splitter then started to run rough / stop / generally act up -- almost on cue.The crew quit for the day , taking the splitter in for "repair"....... it needed a spark plug. The next day Saturday,Dec.6th Mr.[redacted] came out and loaded up his front loader [redacted],and he never came back. His trailer , full of my wood, sat on my property for 31 days, until I gave them an ultimatum to move it or I would have it towed off the property. With the help of my son , we unloaded the trailer by hand and I swept it clean.Question: IF he wasn't planning to take my wood away inthe first place steal? why did he need a large trailer on the job , hooked to a truck capable of pulling it away? The elder Mr. [redacted] came by on Tuesday,Jan.6th to pull the trailer off the property.I had never talked with this man , but dealt with his only with the son. Mr. [redacted] conceeded that his son had made a bad bargain but HIS reputation was on the line , not the kids. The elder [redacted] agreed to come back , finish splitting and stacking the wood and agreed to do so for the afore mentioned $800. The empty trailer left with him pulling it on one flat tire. That is the last I saw or heard from any of the [redacted] Tree Service people. They do not answer Email. If you call them , it is all sweetness and light........ just no work.It is now Jan.14th aqnd counting. It is time for them to finish the work, get paid and get out of my life. If they have no intention of completing the job as agreed , I want to know that and I will employ somebody else to finish the job.I have heart trouble and do not need this drama in my life right now![redacted]Desired SettlementI want them to FINISH what they started.I have paid nothing to date but stand ready and willing to pay the total when the job is totally done!
