I am rejecting this response because:
I am happy to be reimbursed and move on peacefully without signing a release as two other agents from Dessange (including a manager) told me I would definitely be reimbursed for my costs and made no mention of a release. Only later, this condition was attached to the reimbursement. In order to agree to sign the release, I need Dessange to give me some token sum up to their choosing to compensate me if I need to get a wig or a short hair cut to cover up any results from this burn because I am still barely washing my hair because every time I do alarmingly large clumps of hair fall out.I am also troubled that Dessange wants me to sign a release as if I would be made whole from this experience just from a reimbursement of the minimum out-of-pocket costs. There was a lot of physical & emotional pain and suffering from being burned at the salon - namely the pain on my scalp and the negative feelings and life inconvenience associated with having to wear my hair completely oiled with prescription scalp oil all day every day for 2 weeks. If nothing else, Dessange should give me some sum up to their choosing to compensate me for this pain & suffering to make me whole from this experience, and I will gladly sign the release and feel comfortable taking the step to give up my right to ever raise this issue with them again.
