check for that credit balance" Yet again this company (JAK Enterprises/Bard Optical) is trying to scam the system. This Refund check should be for my out of pocket payment but yet they're saying it was overpayment from my insurance. I have all receipts to prove my statements are true. Bard Optical is trying to keep the additional money that my insurance has paid to them.

Ms. [redacted] asked that we put lenses in a frame she purchased in Europe. Because we did not sell the frame it has no warranty. Therefore, our company policy is to secure a signature from the patient on a waiver of claims related to any potential...
damage to the frame. We do this because we have no idea how old the frame is or whether it is brittle due to age. The waiver also includes a statement reminding the patient that the patient will be responsible for the lenses custom made for that frame even if it breaks. Unfortunately, like many frames of this nature it broke when the lenses were being fit. Since that time we reminded Ms. [redacted] of the waiver she signed. However, we agreed to make her a pair of glasses from our selection even though we are not required to do so. She recently accepted that offer. We are happy this unfortunate matter was kindly resolved.
