I have been a patient with Cardiology Partners for over 3 years. Within the past week, I have been informed that they would NOT be able to schedule any more tests or doctors appointments as my account balance was to high and exceeded the maximum amount allowed. My balance on my account is $238. I was informed that I had another account with them that had been closed and sent to a collection agency that had a balance of $1500. To which that was the first time I had heard of the other account. I have insurance that pays them faithfully and I pay them a monthly amount when I am able to. I was told that this was acceptable as long as I tried to make a payment, they would work with me. I have a life saving pacemaker/defibrillator and I was forced/coerced to sign a promissory note, to make payments on a monthly basis to receive medical treatment on that particular day. Its has been more than 2 years since I have had any tests completed and now they are refusing to doing any tests until they are paid in full, medical necessity has been set aside. My personal opinion, Money is more important to them then taking care of their patients.
