We booked a 10-person stretch limo for a 21st birthday pub crawl. [redacted] arrived early, was very professional, and did a great job taking us around. The reservation process was simple, and we didn't have to a thing but get in and out of the limo. The car was clean, well stocked and comfortable. It was really a great evening and a great experience - I would definitely recommend James Limousine and would use them again.

Review: I went on James Limousine's website to quote out getting a shuttle to take our family and a couple of others on the [redacted] here in Richmond, VA, I followed the link on the website to make a reservation, the price it quoted me was for the [redacted], 3 hours, 16 passenger shuttle for $460.80. I only waited to book because I wanted to check with the others in the group and with it being a holiday I wanted to be sure it would get booked properly, so instead of booking online, I called to make the reservation this morning. To my surprise a man named [redacted], who claims to be the [redacted] of the company, tried to at first say that I had done something wrong to get the price that I got from the website then once I had walked him through it, and he saw the price he said that that part of the website was wrong and that actually I should have scrolled down further on the webpage (beyond the make a reservation link, although there is no statement to do so) and then I would have seen a chart with the appropriate pricing for [redacted] which is almost TWICE what the quote was. When I questioned him about honoring the price that came up he refused, stating I could just go elsewhere if I didn't like the pricing! When I asked [redacted] what would have happened if I had booked my reservation with the price showing $460 (no small amount by the way), he stated that he would have confirmed by email that the proper price was $793 (a HUGE discrepancy), and if I did not like that price I could cancel my seasonal, once a year, impossible to book event and go elsewhere! This is in direct violation of the company's own price disclaimer which states that rates ARE guaranteed once a reservation is made! Furthermore, since [redacted] stated that, as [redacted] of the company, he had been integral in setting up the website (he only mentioned this when he was trying to tell me I had done something wrong in getting to that quote, he soon learned he was the one that was wrong), he had constructive knowledge of what that website indicated and how those indications would be received by consumers. With that knowledge in mind, this takes on a disturbing price gouge appearance, which is both illegal and disgusting. Your disclaimer doesn't protect you when your own [redacted] states he would violate it himself. But even more than the illegality of all of this is the huge lack of integrity and responsibility this company, particularly its owner, seems to have to our community. Even [redacted], a national company with far less reason to be responsible to this community, honors the prices they inadvertently leave on their items, because integrity matters, truth in advertising matters, community commitment matters. My 7, 5 and 3 year old children, along with two other families and their combined 4 children were seriously looking forward to this event, most of all to riding in a limo. [redacted] wouldn't know about them because he was too busy laughing at my concern over a $333 difference in price but they were the biggest part of setting up this event. To behave as if I can just cancel and go somewhere else, particularly this time of year, for this particular event, is ridiculous and callous even in the best light. Finally, it cannot go without saying that the location of the Tackly Light Tour pricing that [redacted] calls "prominent" is not even visible when you are at the top of the page, but you know what is? The Make a Reservation link, that's right, the place to go when you are READY to make a reservation. Which is where I went with every intention of booking this event. Silly of me to believe that in doing so I would ACTUALLY be able to get accurate pricing and book a worthwhile reservation. In all of this, the one thing that everyone can be absolutely certain of is that I did not design the website, I did not miss a nonexistent notification to disregard pricing given at reservation to scroll down further on the tacky light portion of the website before making a reservation, I did not disregard the James Limousine disclaimer, and I did not lack the integrity to stand behind the information on my website, only one entity/person did that and that is [redacted], [redacted] of James Limousine. You should be ashamed of your disrespectful and cruel response on the phone, you should be ashamed of how you do business and you should be ashamed of the disappointment you caused 7 children this holiday season.Desired Settlement: The [redacted], 16 passenger shuttle at the given price of $460 on the date requested, Dec. 14, 2013.
