I have been going to this orthodontist for about 20 years. I originally went to him for [redacted] and went through complete braces and use of splint therapy. I had the same splint for about 10 years then it finally failed about 7 years ago. Since that point I have struggled to have a proper splint made. Recently in late October 2011 I purchased a nightgaurd from Dr. Faulkner that was made from a softer material than in recent years and I was concerned because of that. In Decenber the gaurd had completely falled apart so I called. I went into the office and got fitted for a new one. Again I voiced my concerns, but Dr. Faulkner assured me he would "take care of me" and if need be would continue to remake the splints at no additional cost. On April 5th, 2012, I returned yet again to the office with the splint that was rapidly deteriorating and was told I was on my own. Dr. Faulkner has now sold his practice to Dr. [redacted] and has been told he cannot replace the splint and there is no warrenty for faulty craftmanship, that the problem lies with me grinding and I need to deal with it. 20 years ago he proposed the grinding would be fixed by me having braces, and certainly it has not stopped. I have paid out plenty of money over the last 20 years on myself and 3 children with Dr. Faulkner. Not only did he not keep his word, but he walked out of the room and told me I was on my own when I challenged his integrity as a professional.
