I submit this is a scam Received a call with an telephone prefix and thought it was a local charity request in upstate South Carolina Although I pledged $I am going to renege on the request and tell them they are not rated by Revdex.com and Charity Watch indicates it is a scam

I have given to this organization in the past couple of years But also have received calls from an organization called National Veterans Committee I am on a fixed income But the problem is that they both seem to call me around the same time of the yrAnd they are both located in the same city and state they just use a different P.O Box and phone number But I have this strange feeling that I am being scammed I do not want to contribute to any of them any more Especially since they have not responded to your request for information from their business and they have no ratingFor all I know its someone sitting at home calling meI can't afford itPlease help If I am wrong I am sorry But there are to many similarities with both companiesAnd I want to know do I have to pay the $15.00, I pledged?

I got a call because I have a new number that may have contributed in the pastThey aren't even listed on charity rating websitesI thought it was localI live in California and this "charity" is located in WisconsinI believe it is a scam since there is no information regarding their worthiness at charity rating sitesThe flyer states "you are helping to support candidates and legislators" and that has nothing to do with law enforcement injured or killed in the line of duty

I thought this was a local agency since they called me from this area code - I am not paying as it appears this may be a scam

I WAS QUOTED $7.00 PER PAIR TO HEM LADIES SLACKS.

I LEFT TWO PAIRS TO BE HEMMED UP.

WHEN I PICKED THEM UP I WAS CHARGED $30.00.

I SAID "YOU QUOTED ME $7.OO" HE SAID NO, $30.OO"

I recommended James Tailoring to a friend. He took in 2 pairs of slack to be hemmed for his wife. He was quoted $7.00 per each pair. When he went to pick up the slacks, he was charged $30.00. When he said, "but you quoted me $14.00 for both, why the change in the amount". He replied, "I told you $30.00!"

I went a few days later to question him about this incident. I asked if he had a printed price list, he said "no". I then asked how much to hem a pair of women's slacks and he said, $12.00!! Before I could comment any further, he left the counter and went to the back - very rude indeed.

The shop is FILLED with items of clothing that he sells. I think people get scammed by the change of prices and just leave their clothes there. There is an unbelievable amount of clothing in his shop.
