Review: Contractor [redacted] agreed to refund my money for delay in completing house renovations due to no replies to my calls, emails, VM & texts.It has been over a month since [redacted] last text reply on agreeing to refund my money. [redacted] 6/2/14 text said he will be in touch with me during 6/2/14 week.I did not hear from [redacted] for the remainder of that week and again reached out to [redacted] by text a week later, 6/7 & left a voice mail as well as texting him on 6/9 & 6/13.As per our discussion, if he agreed to refund my money, it is professional to follow up by returning calls and texts. Neither of us like doing the chasing. I like my refund of $1,800 from $2,200 balance which is fair provided he only did 1 out of the 5 jobs. I agreed to pay for the one job he did which was repair 2 foundation cracks at a cost of $400. However for the remainder 4 jobs, he never touched since the April 23 contract. Additionally it took [redacted] about 2 months, till June 7 for him to finally realize he can not give me the appropriate attention to complete the job.I have been patient and given [redacted] time to respond through email, text, call. But every time [redacted] doesn't follow through on his words on meeting appointments or returning my messages, hence unprofessional. Additionally [redacted] disconnected his cell # ###-###-#### where I can't get a hold of him on refund.Desired Settlement: I have sent [redacted] a formal letter, requesting the refund of $1,800 by the week of 7/7/14. It is 7/11 end of the week and still no response from [redacted]I want is my refund before the end of July 2014 and he can [redacted] the check to me. He has caused inconvenience where I had to coordinate calls during busy work day for my parents to wait for him at home to do the job. My parents had to rearrange their doctor's appointment to accommodate [redacted] and he doesn't even call when he does not show up.
