The company of J&M Services and Recovery at [redacted] general manager Christine L[redacted] has a very bad attitude. Very unprofessional, not willing to help at all. She needs to learn how to be more polite and courteous with the customers. This company does not want to give me and information of where my vechile is not how long it will take to get here. When I called the office first thing in the morning they said my vechile is not here, I get to the place and my vechile is not here. I do not understand what they are doing with my vechile. They took my car before 8am and the time is now 12:50pm. I do not understand why she cannot call to find out where my vechile is. I am sitting here without any answers. This is very unprofessional for a business not to let the owner of the car know where your vechile is. They told me an hour and it's been three hours. What is so hard to call their driver and find out where is my car. They should have told me from the shart that the vechile was not here. I would've came later. They might be trying to get me to pay extra days which I'm not going to do because they want to try and make extra money. This business is terrible and unprofessional.

Review: My car was repossessed on [redacted], December **, 2014 by J&M Service and Revocery, Inc. I have been trying to recover from being laid off from my job and I fell behind on my car payments. The next day, [redacted], December **, 2014, I contacted [redacted] which services my car loan to make arrangements to get the car back. I was told that I needed to send the bank 2 references, the full past due payment, proof of insurance, and proof of address. I faxed all of that information to the bank on [redacted]. My partner called J&M Services on [redacted]. They told him about all of the company’s fees for the car being on their lot each day. I paid the full past due amount to the bank on the morning of [redacted], January *, 2015. I was told that in 15 minutes that bank will send the Release Form to J&M Service and Recovery, Inc so that I can pick up my car the same day. After I made the payment to the bank and before I left to go get my car, I called J&M Service. I spoke to [redacted] and told her that I had made the payment to the bank and that I was coming to get my car. She told me the fees that had incurred with their company and I was ready to pay. She mentioned very quickly that I should have my license plates with me when I came. I really didn’t think much of that statement because my plates were on the car. I was never told by J&M or the bank that my license plates were removed from the car and were sent to the [redacted]. I have no receipt or proof that the plates were turned in. As far as I know, the plates are still in my name but I truly don’t know what happened to them. They were fully aware that I wanted to keep my car and that I had every intention of getting my car before it was sold at an auction. When my partner called J&M on [redacted], December **, 2014 they did not say anything about my license plates being removed and turned into the [redacted]. All of my belongings were taken out of my car and placed in trash bags by J&M. I had 10 days to make the complete payment before the car was sold at an auction. I went to pick up my car at a little before [redacted] at J&M. When I got there, [redacted] was at lunch. The business closes at [redacted]. A [redacted] that works at J&M told me that I needed license plates on the car in order to drive away. I left really upset and made a few phone calls to see what I could do. I was going to pay J&M Service and Recovery so that they can release my car and then call [redacted] to tow the car to my home since I could not drive without license plates. It was too late to go to the [redacted] to get new plates. I would have done this before attempting to pick up my car if I knew they took my plates off. I did not want to have my car sit at J&M because it would continue to incur daily charges just because it was sitting on their lot. [redacted] at J&M would not release my vehicle to me. She said that [redacted] would not tow it without my plates and that she would tell them that I did not have plates. She said that a tow company that she knows was not available to tow the car. She gave me a 15 minute deadline to find another tow company but she would not release the car to me unless the tow company was there. This did not seem right to me. I still owned the car, my payments were up to date with the bank, and I was ready to pay the fees that I owe to J&M. [redacted] was holding my car, which was my property illegally. If I paid the bank and was willing to pay the fees to J&M, then it was illegal for them to hold the car. How I got the car home would be my responsibility. While I was trying to make arrangements to get the car [redacted] was very frustrated with a couple who had been trying to pick up their car before me. She came out of the office very frustrated. She told the couple that they were upsetting her. When she got to me she said “You’re suppose to have a tow truck coming so I’m not even dealing with you”. She then turned and stormed back into her office and closed the door. I called the police. They told me that it is illegal for her to still hold the car if I’m willing to pay all of the fees, especially when everything is settled with my bank. They also agreed that how I get the car off of their lot after it is released is my responsibility. J&M is a private business so they could not get involved and have them release my car. I had to leave my car there for a whole weekend which would mean it would incur more charges which was unnecessary. I had to pay an additional $153 in fees to J&M towing because my car had to be left there during the weekend because [redacted] would not complete the paperwork to release it.Desired Settlement: I would like the additional $153 charges that were paid in cash returned to me. The car was held illegally on their lot for an additional 3 days because [redacted] would not release it. She was frustrated and would not speak to me or allow me time to make arrangements to get my car towed. If the bank or her company told me that they removed the license plates from my car, I would not have gone their to retrieve the car without plates.
