Horrible gym
Beware! When you visit this place you sell your soul. Had to move out of state for work because of Covid. Only able to use the membership for the first week. They would not release from the contract and have a collection agency harassing me. Con artists and a scam

We contacted Revdex.com as soon as we were made aware that the money was removed from our accountThe only call we received which my husband says was the day after he contacted Revdex.com (so there would not have been enough time for Revdex.com to contact JAC and then have JAC call us)And this call message stated that the memberships were now terminated (after the money had already been taken from our account) and we had the rest of Feb to use our membershipsWe have NOT received any communication from JAC directly stated anything about our complaint with Revdex.comWhat really bothers us was that we were told that we would receive a phone call about making payment arrangements and then instead the money was taken from my husbands account without us being told before handWe did not respond to the message left because we had already inquired with Revdex.com and we did not like how we were treated by JACI asked to speak to someone about closing our membership and the lady rudely said; about whatI tried quietly explaining that my husband was not working and we were unable to continue with the membership and that we were not able to pay the amount to terminate the membershipsIt made me feel bad about not being able to pay, because my husband lost his jobI felt embarrassed and low because I was not able to pay a bill that I wanted to pay. The whole situation could of been handled in a much more professional manner

Michael *** signed up for a month membership on 7/10/16, which I have attached a copy of the signed membership agreement. He signed up for personal training on 7/11/16, attached is a signed copy of the personal training agreement also. Both membership and personal
training agreements require a day written notice per the signed agreements. In Nov and March of Michael had requested to place his personal training agreement on hold due to his work travels. We did accommodate his requests. Michael did send a text message on Sept 28th again requesting his "billing be stopped again because I won't be back to the gym anytime soon". For the 3rd time we accommodated his request. We put the billing on hold immediately for months. When Michael called the club on Jan 3rd to question the charge of $114. A staff returned his call to explain the charge but he hung up on her. Michael called again on Jan 9th and I spoke with him directly. Michael said he had moved out of the area and had cancelled his personal training. I explained that a hold was implemented on his training like we had done in the past, a day written notice to cancel was not submittedHe said that he is not able to do any more personal training because he has moved out of the area. I told him that he still had an active membership for him as well, he said that he called months ago to cancel. I explained all cancellations must be done in writing. He asked if this was the 1980's . He then hung up on me. If a day notice had been given for his personal training, Michael would have been billed until Oct 28th 2017, but because it was a "hold" the billing was able to be frozen immediately. The bank has since charge backed the payments of $so I would assume that Michael has received the money back. At this time, he has yet to give a day written notice to cancel his personal training or his membership

[redacted] signed up for a 12 month membership on 7/25/13.  [redacted]’s dues were $29 per month.  His wife, [redacted], also signed a contract for a 12 month membership on the same day, 7/25/13.  [redacted] had their 2 children on her membership and paid for an upgrade so her dues were $44 per month.

On 1/29/14 both [redacted] and [redacted] came into the club and signed forms to terminate their memberships.    According to the terms of their contract and the termination form they signed a 30 day notice is required to terminate the membership and if terminating before fulfilling the 12 month contract there is an early termination fee of $75.

Since the form was signed on 1/29 the 30 day notice went to 2/28/14 so they owed for Feb dues.  They also each owed the early term fee of $75.    The amount owed was charged to the MC  they had provided.  That amount was charged on the 1st of the month when billing was processed.     There was nothing written indicating that they wished to make payments on the money owed.

[redacted],

As stated to your manager [redacted], at that point I had no idea just how upset my daughter was about this. She was trying to act like it had not bothered her. Her subsequent depression, refusal to return to the club, and refusal leave her room for the rest of the summer indicates to me that she had a much harder time dealing with this than I had anticipated. At the time of the incident, I had no way of knowing this would be her reaction. And to call the police and make a big scene would have totally mortified her.

I apologize if you feel I attacked your character. I was put on my defensive when you said "Your daughter then decided to join on  a 12 month membership on 7/7/14. To say that she was unable to use her membership because of this incident does not make sense as she decided to join 5 days after the incident"

It seems to me that you are calling me a liar. That is not the case. As I stated before, I had no idea at the time we signed her up this would be her long-term reaction to the event, and I do not think she anticipated it either. I kept the membership in hopes she would conquer her fear and return, as I felt she needed the exercise. Then the other day my husband insisted I cancel, as she refuses to return.

I had understood your club taking this month out, as I had not given proper notice. What upset me was you taking out the yearly fee when we are not continuing and in light of the circumstances. A refund of the yearly fee would be appreciated. Thank you.

I just wanted to make sure that you actually saw it yourself. Please send me a copy of my agreement with you. I am questioning the dates. I cannot remember whether this happened before or after the trial. Either way, I do know that it had been [redacted]'s intention to continue at the club even after the incident. I am afraid that I do not have a copy of my original agreement. The bottom line is that whether or not the man in question denied it, it does not mean that it did not happen. A copy of the agreement would be appreciated. I would also like to see any documentation you have of the initial incident, as I did not write down the date.    Obviously you are taking the word of a lecherous grown man rather than that of a fourteen year old girl who is not given to dishonesty. And the "man" in question did not just look at her. He stared, made comments about how pretty she was, and followed her from area to area in the club. It is a shame that my daughter wanted to appear strong and pretended that the incident did not bother her as much as it did. I should have called the police that day and cancelled this immediately, as I do believe we were already committed at that point. It is a shame that you cannot understand and instead look at the legality of the the situation as a business person and neglect to understand her feelings and the fact that we are really low income and a hit like this after I called and cancelled hurts. [redacted] assured us all we had to do was call and cancel. It was nice of you to waive the cancellation fee for something we paid months for and she may have used once because she no longer felt comfortable there. To charge a "yearly membership fee" after we had cancelled was sort of shifty. But, if it is outlined in the contract, oh well, I guess I will have to deal with it. As a parent, my contention is that the proper way to handle it would have been to ban the pervert and believe the word of a child. It seems that you would be a bit more sensitive since you communicate in your profile on your club's page that you embrace Christian principles. Please send me a copy of my agreement. Thanks so much for all of your help. [redacted] E. Your daughter had a free  2 week trial  membership from 6/24/14 to 7/7/14 During that  free  trial, she complained about a male member looking at her.You requested his name which we are not allowed  to  give out. Yes, we could have given it out if a criminal  complaint was filed.  The incident occurred on 7/2/14  during her free  trial. Our General manager [redacted]  talked to the member on the phone and informed him of the  complaint. He denied doing this.  Your daughter then decided to  join on  a 12 month membership on 7/7/14. To say that  she was unable to use her membership because of this  incident does not make sense as she decided to join 5 days  after the incident.  Annual fees areassessed in the 3rd full month of membership. Review: My daughter [redacted], who is 14 years old was stalked by an older male patron of this club. She complained to club staff and pointed out the person that harassed her. I called the club and they refused to give me the man's name so that I may approach him myself and check to see of he had a criminal record. I wanted to call the police, but my 14 year old talked me out of it. My daughter was so distraught and embarrassed, she begged me not to call police. She only went one more time after that. I waited several months to cancel. hoping she would get over her fear of going back, then when I called to cancel they told me that though she had not used the services, primarily because of their handling of the incident, I would have to pay a yearly membership fee which I had not agreed to initially, and they had already sent a debit for the monthly fee. I have paid for months for something my daughter has not used because of their inept handling of this situation. They were made aware of her non-attendance in a customer service call months ago, yet they did not have the class or grace to cancel this. My daughter has suffered psychological damage and anxiety as a result of this incident and I want the 58.00 they took out of my account today, as well as the membership cancellation, with no "CANCELLATION FEE."Desired Settlement: My daughter has suffered psychological damage and anxiety as a result of this incident and I want the 58.00 they took out of my account today, as well as the membership cancellation with no "CANCELLATION FEE."
