The vehicle was towed in late Oct of 2015, The vehicle would not drive at all as the clutch was completely burnt upWhen the job was bid originally, we had no knowledge the vehicle had been worked on previously and the clutch & the flywheel had been changed to and aftermarket clutch nor could anyone have of known thisThe vehicle originally came with a Dual mass flywheel and the flywheel had been replaced with one for an aftermarket clutchThe original dual mass flywheel that the vehicle was original equipped with was no longer available new or used therefore the original clutch kit would not workWe had attempted many times to get one and we paid overnight shipping on several flywheels that which were wrong and had to then be returned incurring more shipping & Restocking feesWe had finally found the company who made the aftermarket clutch ( [redacted] ) and we were able to finally get a clutch kit from themThey did not have it in stock and they had to make itThis clutch was considerable more expensive than what I had originally quoted to do the job due to having this aftermarket flywheelAs far as the contention that "its a hour job" the flat rate labor time calls for Hours to replace the flywheel on this vehicleAs for the contention that the vehicle was not fixedIndeed the vehicle was fixed as the vehicle came in on a tow truck and the vehicle was driven outNor had we heard any issue that there was any problem until about 7/12/As for the contention that " the throw out bearing was not replaced" Indeed in fact it was replaced along with the slave cylinderThe customer did , during the course of work ask to keep the old parts, Which we did keep and we set aside, When the customer picked up the vehicle did not, at this time, wish to take the old parts, therefore, about thereafter the vehicle was picked up the parts were then discardedIn our recent phone calls we have had with this customer, the customer has changed his story about what is goin on with the vehicleHe 1st stated that we did not replace the throw out bearing, which indeed in fact, we did replace the throw out bearingI told him if he is having a problem we could probably warranty it if it is the clutchHe then stated it was making a noise, I told him to bring it in and if its the clutch, then we can warranty it for himHe then stated somebody else had already taken it apart and that the throw out bearing was badThis no one who can warranty any vehicle repair work, without having the vehicle brought back & after someone else has already worked on it before we were informed that there was any problemA refund would not be in order as the vehicle was repaired, we had already lost money attempting to help this customer dealing with aftermarket parts, where in which we had incurred considerable costs in shipping and restocking fees, so much so that our costs in repairing the vehicle were more than what he had received to repair it which the cost of we had absorbedThe fact that someone else had already taken the vehicle apart is the reason as to why the customer will not bring the vehicle back for repairBut to note: If indeed the throw bearing and slave cylinder does require replacement, the parts catalogs for this vehicle show the wrong (slave cylinder & throw out bearing) at the Slave cylinder & throw out bearing, we had to match up the old in order to get the correct new slave cylinder throw out bearing, which did take me many trips to parts suppliers to find the correct matchThis is because, apperently the transmission had been replaced with that is different from the original or what was expected when the vehicle was builtAnyone else who attempts to service this particular vehicle is going to encounter the same problemI hope that before the customer had someone else take the vehicle apart, If it was making a noise, that they diagnosed the noise correctly, as it is very common in my experience that other noises, Such as transmission noises, and when PCV hoses are put on wrong, this creates a vacuum in the crankcase and makes a noise from the rear crankshaft seal that is commonly misdiagnosed as the throw out bearingI have seen many mechanic people replace clutches as many as times over and over again to eliminate a noise, thinking it was the throw out bearing, When in fact it was that the PCV hoses were put on wrong causing a vacuum on the crankcase this causing air to get pulled past the rear seal, thus making a noise from inside of the clutch housingMore commonly however, noise in a Transmission is often misdiagnosed by mechanic people as being a noise from the throw out bearingAs for the customers contention that the repair took longer than expected, that is indeed true, however, the long repair time was not the fault of the shop as the vehicle had aftermarket parts installed previously and we had spent many, many, complete days & considerable shipping costs, which we did not bill to our customer, attempting to locate & order, & reorder replacement partsFurthermore, the vehicle monopolized a service rack during the time it was here, while waiting for partsIf after the vehicle gets reassembled, & it still has a noise, we will be happy to help you determine the exact cause of the noise for you as I suspect, if you are getting a noise, That the noise is either the transmission or air getting past the rear crankshaft seal as it is unlikely that the throw out bearing has failed, unless of course the vehicle had been sitting submerged in water for some time.Sent on: 7/19/10:36:PM

That is the receipt they gave me the paper states at the bottom we have a month mile warrantyAlso immediately after I got my car back I went right back up there the car want shifting right and alto of engine and brake lights were on [redacted] helped us that day which is the owner of buisnessThe second day I came back because the car still want shifting right [redacted] told me I had to wait I waited about mins in the parking lot and went back to ask if he could come take a look at the car he stated he didn't have time for this st so I left

In response to your complaint: Back in Late January the customer had brought a Mercedez mlto us and at that time the vehicle did not shift into high gear and was in limp in modeWe had diagnosed that the vehicles High Range clutch in the transmission was at this time slipping
Subsequently, the transmission would have to be rebuilt or replacedAt this time there was no Detectable fault with the transmission control module or the gear selector moduleWe obtained approval from the customer to replace the transmission with a used transmissionWe replaced transmission and vehicle was work fineThe customer had brought the vehicle back Months later and the transmission was not shifting forward gears at allWe took the time, And a lot of time, and diagnosed the problem at no charge to our customerThe transmission itself is working, However, The transmission control module, which is the computer that controls the transmission, that which is completely separate from the transmission, had failed and was not providing any power and ground to the shift solenoids in the transmission, thus causing the transmission not to shift any forward gears and operate in limp in modeThe transmission module is defective causing the problemAlso The gear Shift module is not reporting the correct selector RangeThe fact that these components have faults is not, in any way our fault, Nor can we warranty these components as we have never replaced themMercedez- Benz charges a lot of money for these components and used ones will not work as when they are plugged into a vehicle and are reprogrammed they marry the car and unless an electronics technician knows how to remove the EEPROM from the modules and has the blank virgin module code to write to the EEPROMS, A used module cannot be usedMercedez dealers do not know how to do this, they just obtain new or reconditioned modules from MercedezMercedez calls these theft relevant parts or TRP'sWe do have the ability to use used modules on Mercedez - Benz as we have blank module code for most Mercedez modules, therefore we do have the unique ability to use used Mercedez Benz TRP modules as we have captured and saved most Mercedez Blank module codeTherefore, while it is still a lot of work, our price to replace the modules is still going to be lower than anyone elseWe did not build your car, not did we break your, nor did we purchase your carJust because we have repaired one problem with your vehicle, we cannot warranty your entire vehicleIt is difficult that it costs a lot, but the problem here is not us, we are in the solutionLife is difficult and things arise that are difficult to deal withWe are in the business of resolving vehicle problems, We repair problem at a timeIt is extremely difficult to predict what is going to fail in the future and when on vehiclesWhat we do not do, and how we differ from others in the automobile repair business, is sell our customers things that they do not needWe do not have to as we are able to diagnose vehicle problems that most other cannot comprehendWhen your vehicle was 1st brought in, at that time, there was no problem detected with the TCM or the Gear Selector moduleTelling you that you needed these items at this time would have of been wrong to do as at this time there was no reason to believe that hey were going fail nor could anyone have of reasonably predicted their failureAs far as the customer contention that "they gang banged on my husband who is in a wheel chair", is absolutely, false, upserd, and is ridiculous and is what sums up the customer contentionMaking such upserd statements, that we must respond to, that have no truth or merit make conducting business hard not just for us but for every one and they make the cost of everything go up for everyone, This in turn makes life very difficult to those people who work hard for a livingWe will in the future, attempt to screen our customers more carefullyWe hope you will have better luck dealing with the next shop

I am rejecting this response because: he stated in the beginning that my car was in limp mode when I first brought it to youNow he is saying its in limp mode againThe transmission is not shifting out if first gear we brought it in late February and brought it back August 1st which is months later and had a month warranty as for the gangbanging on my husband he was talking to the African American man who does there smog tests as he was talking to my husband the man began getting frustrated and said" check this out blood" my husband said excuse me what did you say ' did you just gangbang on me and the man said yes in from Chico bloodWe were so appalled that we left and told them we would return when the boss was there.we are a little scared that they have our address We returned everyday for a week and the boss still never cameAlso after they fixed my transmission the first time I immediately returned because my car want shifting right the boss told me out his own mouth he does not have time for this st I would just like for them to fix my problem and I will never go there againThey have bad customer service Especially to those who have disabilities

I am rejecting this response because:they were not polite nor courteous in our exchangesThey neither provided this information which at any other basic location would give immediately and in a timely mannerI requested to see and inspect the parts when I picked it up and the owner was conveniently not thereThe employee he had was not able to fulfill my request to see the partsIn other wordsThis business is lyingFlat outNot only did the repair take a long time but I wasn't able to get to and from work and lost my job due to itHe should be responsible for his own mistakes of time, a real business doesn't make excusesNor does it refuse to show used parts like it did the day I picked it upI had called them the day after I picked it up when the throw out bearing noise came backWhen I finally did get the vehicle back I made several attempts to contact to see the used partsThere was no call back or word from them until the date they claim I made contact with them this monthThey are a terrible business, unprofessional, with unqualified techniciansThey have two illegal immigrants working there and the owner only wants to take your money and find shortcuts to do quality and certified workIt would be in the name of justice and fair practice to refund the money spent in this repair as the repair was never madeSure the car drives but the noise is the same and I have letters from three different technicians agreeing that the bearing was repacked and not replacedBecause of my experience and their response (and this being the first time they've provided information other than "it's not done") I'll be taking the vehicle to a BAR station to confirm the findings and diagnosis of the other technicians whose statements I possess in order to prevent other consumers from being duped into pay said failed businessFrom what I understand this isn't the first Revdex.com complaint they have against themAnd it won't be the lastI'll be attaching that BAR report to this complain in the very near futureLet them determine if the facts I state are trueAs they willBut alas, I still demand in the name of justice a FULL REFUNDIt would not be in the consumer's best interest (my own) to return said vehicle to them for further repairLet this response show that the business refuses to correct the problem and leaves the consumer (me) no choice but to proceed in the process of evaluating said business and it's lack there of, of proper and high quality service and business henceforthI hope Revdex.com takes this case seriously and sends someone there to evaluate them, in the name of justiceThanks, *** *

That is the receipt they gave me the paper states at the bottom we have a 6 month 6000 mile warranty. Also immediately after I got my car back I went right back up there the car want shifting right and alto of engine and brake lights were on . [redacted] helped us that day which is the owner of buisness. The second day I came back because the car still want shifting right [redacted] told me I had to wait . I waited about 30 mins in the parking lot and went back to ask if he could come take a look at the car he stated he didn't have time for this st so I left.

Review: They were to replace my clutch and throw out bearing in a timely manner. They failed to replace the throw out bearing and they took nearly two weeks to complete a 6hr job. I also requested to see my broken parts which they failed to do. Called them and requested a refund to take it somewhere else and they refused. I'm not going to take it there and have them fix it because they failed to replace it the first time and took 2weeks to complete it the first time.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund and an apology.

Response:

I am rejecting this response because:they were not polite nor courteous in our exchanges. They neither provided this information which at any other basic location would give immediately and in a timely manner. I requested to see and inspect the parts when I picked it up and the owner was conveniently not there. The employee he had was not able to fulfill my request to see the parts. In other words. This business is lying. Flat out. Not only did the repair take a long time but I wasn't able to get to and from work and lost my job due to it. He should be responsible for his own mistakes of time, a real business doesn't make excuses. Nor does it refuse to show used parts like it did the day I picked it up. I had called them the day after I picked it up when the throw out bearing noise came back. When I finally did get the vehicle back I made several attempts to contact to see the used parts. There was no call back or word from them until the date they claim I made contact with them this month. They are a terrible business, unprofessional, with unqualified technicians. They have two illegal immigrants working there and the owner only wants to take your money and find shortcuts to do quality and certified work. It would be in the name of justice and fair practice to refund the money spent in this repair as the repair was never made. Sure the car drives but the noise is the same and I have letters from three different technicians agreeing that the bearing was repacked and not replaced. Because of my experience and their response (and this being the first time they've provided information other than "it's not done") I'll be taking the vehicle to a BAR station to confirm the findings and diagnosis of the other technicians whose statements I possess in order to prevent other consumers from being duped into pay said failed business. From what I understand this isn't the first Revdex.com complaint they have against them. And it won't be the last. I'll be attaching that BAR report to this complain in the very near future. Let them determine if the facts I state are true. As they will. But alas, I still demand in the name of justice a FULL REFUND. It would not be in the consumer's best interest (my own) to return said vehicle to them for further repair. Let this response show that the business refuses to correct the problem and leaves the consumer (me) no choice but to proceed in the process of evaluating said business and it's lack there of, of proper and high quality service and business henceforth. I hope Revdex.com takes this case seriously and sends someone there to evaluate them, in the name of justice. Thanks, [redacted].

Review: First of all I was charged one hundred dollars over cost of alternator. The most expensive alternator at any parts store cost under $95.00 (I was charged $198.21) Then when I asked for my used parts back they wouldn't give them to me. They said if I wanted my parts back I would have to pay additional cash.Desired Settlement: To refund me with one hundred dollars and give my used alternator back.

Review: I took my car to Japanese Motors on 1/16 to have it diagnosed. Two issues were found & repaired. I retrieved my car on 1/18. On 1/23, my car cut off twice. It had NEVER done that before. I took it back to the auto shop the next day, on 1/24. The manager, [redacted], immediately began making excuses & even insinuated that my car was already struggling when I bought it to his shop. I disputed his allegations. [redacted] then made an accusation about my transmission. I refuted that blame as well because I just got a brand-new transmission 6 months ago. (Note: If there were any other pre-existing conditions wrong with my car, they also would've shown up in the original diagnostic test, but they DID NOT because there weren't any!) After running out of excuses, he suggested re-diagnosing my car, whenever he could get to it, possibly on 1/20. My car died again on the way home. Thankfully, it did so on the street where I reside. I had my car inspected the next day & learned that my once FULL level fluids had been drained? I was told that this is one of the tricks that shady auto shops use to create non-existing problems to cheat its customers! I no longer have trust or faith in their Japanese Motors, and I do not believe that they have my best interest at heart. Therefore, I'm unwilling to allow them to work on my car ever again! I have been victimized by Japanese Motors & am now forced to pay another shop to fix their damages! Additionally, I'm going to have to miss a few days of mandated physical therapy to have these issues addressed & resolved. Japanese Motors actions are morally and ethically wrong! Their business practices are crooked and dishonest! They have committed an injustice that needs to be highlighted % rectified! I am paralyzed and on a fixed income. I should not have to pay for Japanese Motors disservices and wrongdoings! Please HELP me to remedy this situation!Desired Settlement: I would like to receive a full refund, so that I can apply those funds towards the additional, outstanding pending charges that I'm going to incur to have the the NEW damages repaired that Japanese Motors did to my car.
