Jason Currie Landscaping Contractor Reviews (1)

Review: On June 25, 2014 we contracted Mr. Currie to renovate the landscaping at our property, [redacted].After discussing the work that will be done, we gave Mr. Currie a deposit of $3,200.00.Mr. Currie on June 24, 2014 promised us that the landscaping renovation would be completed by the end of the week, in time for the Fourth of July. He assured us that the job would be completed by then. That week end he did have two workers take down some of the shrubs and plants and clean up some of the debris. The landscaping was not touched again in June. Sometime in July, Mr. Currie had come to the property and cut the wood pilings. The job was not completed by July 4, 2014 as promised.Except for that one time in July, Mr. Currie never returned to the property to renovate the landscaping. We tried contacting Mr. Currie several times and whenever we were lucky to get in touch with him, he assured us that, that coming week he would take care of the renovation and it would be completed. We were able to communicate with Mr. Currie at the end of July, and he told us that he would like to wait until the deck was installed before he continued with the landscaping. This way he would be able to use the additional pebbles that would have been installed under the deck on the actual landscape. We thought that was a good idea and agreed to wait. The deck was completed on August 11, 2014.Nothing was done with the landscaping. We attempted to communicate with Mr. Currie to let him know that the deck was finished, but we were unsuccessful.August 23, 2014 we went to the house and we found the landscaping in disarray. A leaf blower was thrown in the driveway. The driveway to the house blocked by a cart full of pebbles. We were actually thinking that Mr. Currie was working on the landscaping, but no one showed up.On August 24, 2014, Mr. Currie showed up to take the cart and his supplies and was unexpectedly surprised to find us sitting outside on the deck overlooking the messy lawn.Desired Settlement: When we returned to the property on August 26, 2014, nothing had been done. Except debris and pebbles strewn all over the street and property, that we had to clean up before the town fined us for throwing landscaping debris on to the public road. To date, nothing has been done to the landscaping. We have requested a refund of $2,000.00 plus $22.00 filing fee. We have calculated that the total amount of work Mr. Currie did is below the $1,200.00 we are allowing him to keep.As of September 9, 2014, we will not have Mr. Currie finish the renovation and we are looking for another landscaping company with a better reputation to complete the jobThank you,
