5/17/
I purchased a vehicle from this business on 4/12/On 4/17/the passenger seat would not lock into place and was sliding back and forth when the car was in motionI contacted the dealership and was told to get it checked out "and we will see what we need to do from there"I made an appointment with a *** dealership and notified Java, was given the okWhen I contacted them on 4/20/to tell them what the *** dealership said, they refused to pay the diagnostic fee or for any repairThey stated the seat was fine while they had it on the lot and that I should have taken it somewhere else b/c dealerships are just out to get moneyAgain on 5/4/I had a problem with the car; this time it was leaking transmission fluidAgain I was told by the same person that the car had been fine on the lot and that "maybe the *** dealership topped off the fluid when they checked the seat and caused the problem"! After a very disappointing conversation, I was given the number to the third party garage that they use and basically told to kiss offNEVER BUYING FROM THEM AGAIN AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEMSN: They also proudly had the Revdex.com logo displayed in the front door of their businessAlthough I now see that they are not Revdex.com accredited according to this website

My fiancé and I purchased a car from Java Auto Sales six weeks ago and were guaranteed a solid vehicleA week after our purchase, we began to hear a noise coming from the car when we turned the steering wheelWe immediately took it to a few different mechanics to inspect the vehicle and found out that the power steering rack needed to be replaced due to a leakOnce we were aware of the problem, we immediately called Java and left a message with a gentleman to have our salesman call us backHe never returned our callWe decided that we would pay $in repairs before our car endured any more damage due to the power steering rackNow, at weeks after purchase, we noticed that we need yet another repair that will cost an extra $for the power steeringGiving Java the benefit of the doubt, and noticing good reviews from them previously, we decided to trust that they may have not known about the power steering leak (one that every mechanic that we've taken it to, which equals out to four mechanics, have told us had been a part of the car well before we bought itMeaning, this damage couldn't have been done in the first week or even the past six weeks that we've had this vehicle.) Today, six weeks from purchase date, I called Java auto to tell them of our issues with the vehicle that they told us was a solid vehicle and their mechanic looked at it himselfWhen speaking with the staff, we were basically told "sorry about your luckWe offered for you to bring the vehicle back to our mechanic (who apparently missed the costly leak in the first place, and decided that because I told them "I'll talk to my fiancée about when we can make the trip down there together since it's an hour from where we live, and we both work and are full-time students, we can't just bail out of life to have a biased mechanic look at our car that has cost us a pretty penny in the past six weeksObviously we cannot afford to take off of work.) Once the car is purchased, the employees of Java Auto Sales will treat you with absolutely zero respect and tell you that they can hang up on you if they wish
I will simply say, it is in your best interest to steer clear from ever buying a car from Java Auto Sales

Just almost less then a month ago I purchase Lexus is250 06 the engine went died in the car less than a month per Lexus Durham.I called Java auto sales less than a month ago as of 05-06-16. Minus not purchasing a warranty that I was never offered until inquired about a warranty and at the end it was too late. Not to mention number they altered on the bill of sale to get the credit union to give them the loan after the loan officer stated that she couldn't use the application there company was faxing because of numbers on the bill of sale they spent time altering information on the bill of sale. A WEEK later the car wouldn't crank I Thought maybe this was just a battery the Lexus delarship looked at the car and noticed it was a starter fuse 3hrs later after getting the car back the engine went dead in the car. I had been contacting the company Java to see if they will help me with giving me my money back being as though I only driven this car a week. I've called them respectfully trying to just find out my options I was told that I am to not call or they will call the cops on me I wasn't upset. When the "Owner" told me he not helping me at all do not call them. 10,000 Dollars on my credit that I am paying back to secu for the loan they gave me for the car for a car I can't do anything at all with. I don't know what to do being there are laws that are stopping me. I am 25 love assisting patients and making difference it has causeD me to go depressed I could loose my job without reliable transportation. I was promised this was a good car no issues Muhammad the sales stated he drove the car neveryday. It work for me a week. I was told I only glcould go doWM the street for 15 mins to drive test drive the car.Desired SettlementI would really appreciated if the company take this car back and give me my money back, or find me a reliable car that I can take to get examined being as though you can only test drive for 15 mins.Business Response all vehicles we are selling they are sold AS is no warranty form Java Auto Sale . customer responsible for any maintenance for car .Thanks Consumer Response I just don't understand why you will sale me something that wasn't reliable and you knew it had issues and tell me.

I was sold a broken car and not a used car.I bought a used 2003 bmw 330ci. I knew it was used and should expect problems so I continously asked about its condition and it's maintenence. I was assured everything was fine and they showed me an inspection sheet. A couple of days later the ses light came on and when I took it to a mechanic it turned out to be my transmission. I called the dealer telling them the problem. They tried to pin it on me saying it could've been my fault they don't k ow how I drive. They also said I bought the car as is so it wasn't my problem I had the car for 5 days barely drove it. I've repeatedly had to take the car to a mechanic for the same transmission problem and the repairs are more than I paid for for the car. My warranty company is convinced that they had to have known the car was broken before they sold me the car. Now the car is sitting at a transmission shop. I'm seeking legal advice now and filing a complaint.Desired SettlementAll I wanted was my car fixed. I just want the 3050 to get my transmission fixed. Or a replacement vehixle.Business Response /[redacted]/This car was sold AS IS (as all of our vehicles are) and she had her mechanic over for a POST SALE INSPECTION before she purchased the vehicle. All we can offer at this moment is for her to bring the car in and she can trade it for something else. The vehicle she purchased is 12 years old with over 150 thousand miles on it, and she has had it for six months now. It's normal to do some repairs on a vehicle of this age with this mileage, especially when you drive a vehicle continuously as a daily driver.

Used car purchase gone wrong. 2 days after the purchase, I have a car that cannot be driven.I purchased a vehicle from java auto sales on 5-14-14. I was told verbally by the salesperson that I was getting an excellent car and that I would be happy. I took it to a Franchise dealership 2 days after the purchase to have recall work done. Upon investigation by the franchise technician, both the inverter and transmission are damaged and must be replaced for the car to be able to be driven again. Once the inverter case was opened to begin the recall work it was evident that the inverter and transmission were terribly damaged and actually melted. Java Auto sales has offered me $500 of assistance for what Toyota has quoted as a $16000 repair. I know that I purchased a used vehicle AS IS with no warranty but in my opinion a verbal contract was entered into by myself and the salesperson when I was told that the car I was getting was an excellent vehicle and that I would be happy.Desired SettlementI would like to be able to return the vehicle to Java Auto Sales and be paid what I paid for the car. This is not my fault and I don't deserve to be in this position. Another settlement that I would agree to is if Java Auto sales would agree to have the car repaired by a 3rd party mechanic and cover that cost and warranty the repair for at least 6 months.Business Response /[redacted]/We as a used car dealership always do check ups on our cars from brakes to hoses to tires to lights, belts, etc. also if there is any warning lights or error/check engine codes we take care of it. But in this case the problem was inside the inverter and showed no signs of malfunction, only way they found out it was bad was when they opened it up an looked inside, in this case there are only a handful of people mostly only at dealerships that open inverters or any other hybrid devices. We have our cars inspected and driven to make sure everything is working properly. we had no clue of any issues and there was no way for us to know, we sold the car as-is like many other dealerships and it is impossible for us to have known this issue when there was no signs of a problem. We encourage all of our customers to take the vehicle to do a pre sale inspection to avoid situations like this, he said he did not want to. we took the time to look and were able to find a third party mechanic that could do the work for $2500 and we said we would pay $500 even though we are not in any way forced to do so. it is unfortunate that this has happened to Mr. [redacted] but as I said we are not in anyway liable in repairing the vehicle especially since we had no way of knowing its condition.Consumer Response /[redacted]/I understand that all issues with used vehicles cannot be foreseen and buying as is with no warrant is a risk. This particular issue is one that is very unique. While the business did offer $500 in assistance, their statement that the third party mechanic could repair the vehicle for $2500 is not accurate. After complete investigation, this repair is going to be $4,000 or more. I would still appreciate the original $500 offered but in my opinion when I was verbally told by the business that the vehicle I was getting was a solid vehicle and that I was going to be happy, this is what should have taken place. If this business cannot sell hybrid vehicles that they can guarantee the quality on then they do not need to sell that type of vehicle, otherwise they should stand behind the promise that they give the customer that ultimately led me to trust that I was getting a quality car. I don't assume that business had any knowledge of the issue at hand, I would have simply appreciated the promise that I was given on the lot the day I bought the car being stood behind and that has not happened. If all the business can do is offer $500 in assistance then I would appreciate that.Final Business Response /[redacted]/We will be glad to send Mr. [redacted] the $500 dollars as promised to close this case. We will send the check today, if you have any questions or concerns please give us a call XXX-XXX-XXXXThank You,Java Auto SaleFinal Consumer Response /[redacted]/(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)I will accept the $500 as a resolution.

We decided that we would pay $1020 in repairs before our car endured any more damage due to the power steering rack. Giving Java the benefit of the doubt, and noticing good reviews from them previously, we decided to trust that they may have not known about the power steering leak (one that every mechanic that we've taken it to, which equals out to four mechanics, have told us had been a part of the car well before we bought it.
