consumer I guess. The following day Mr. [redacted] call the shop again or stopped by I cant recall and said what about a used transmission? I told Mr. [redacted] I have never installed one in 20 plus year in the trade he ask, but would you? I told him sure but there is no warranty period. I also explained to the customer in the event that we have the transmission rebuilt there is an inspection process done to find the problem or problems at hand. Mr. [redacted] had the truck towed down we put it in gear it didnt move so it was pushed in the shop removed and reinstalled the used transmission that was provided to us installed the linkage, filled it with fluid and backed it out. Was it a transfer case problem I dont know, we where doing what the customer asked us to do simply install a used transmission and yes he was right it didnt move when you put into gear it was not until after the fact that the transfer case slipping out gear question came into play. This is a great example of people trying to cut corners on car repairs. Was the transfer case linkage worn and causing it to fall out of gear maybe. There will be no settlement to Mr. [redacted] for cutting corners and not wanting to repair or inspect the car correctly. I've been serving the Turlock area since 1997 and have never had a complaint to Revdex.com or and other governing company. Thanks Jason Brown

Review: On March 17, 2016, I went to Jay's Tire in Petersburg, Va to purchase two used tires(both $80.00) for the front of my vehicle. I were sold two tires that were too wide for my vehicle & both of my tire sensors were broken off by trying to force air in the plugs and given to me, which cause a warning light to stay on in my vehicle. It took the supervisor & his so-call helpers almost two hours to put the wrong tires on my vehicle, which one was plug, without telling me. I observed the supervisor exit the business, going to a store behind the premises. Once he came back, he had a case of [redacted](alcohol) in his arms. On March 18th, I went to [redacted] in Franklin, Va to order two tire sensors(costing $105.98 for both). On March 24th, I had an appointment with [redacted] in Franklin, VA to purchase two new tires & installment($25.00) of two tire sensors. After getting the problem solved, I went back to Petersburg, VA to return the two used tires with receipt & get a refund. I were denied by the supervisor, stating the he had to talk with the owner before giving me cash. He call the owner several times with no luck. Police were called by me; after the police officer talk with the supervisor, he told me that the owner would not answer, so take him to court. Remind that this bad owner have my contact info & have not call me to this day.Desired Settlement: Owner need to hire more dependable individual that will not cause him to go out of business, be a honest man & admit that his staff were in the wrong & apologize to me & pay for my expenses. And keep alcohol beverages off of his premises! It could cause a hazard.

Review: On 7/1/14, about 1:00 P.M. while backing into my home, my GMC Yucon made a loud bang and stopped moving. It would not go into drive or reverse and had a momentary grinding sound. I called Jay at Jay's Tire who I would normally call to handle my auto repair needs. He said to bring my car to his shop and he would take care of it for me. [redacted], an employee of his called me back the next day. 7/2/14 and said it was the transmission. I had called a auto dismantler to purchase a used transmission and jay told me that he would do that for me. I had to rent a car for time he had my truck in the shop. He called me back on 7/12/14 and told me my truck was ready to be picked up. Had my truck for a day and a half and while backing up to my house had a loud bang and my truck did the same thing. Called ** from **'s Transmission immediately and he said to put my truck into 2 Drive and was able to move my truck. I went back to Jays Tire to talk to Jay about the problem and he threatened me. He said, "he wanted to kick my grey haired old [redacted]. That I am not the only old man that he beat up and I am not going to be the last." At that point, I kind of calmed the situation down and was able to talk somewhat rationally. He admitted to me that he had not checked the truck properly. Then later in the conversation he told me that" what if I said that I did not tell you that?" I told him that it was to late for that. We finished the conversation, after shaking hands and he apologized to me, saying that he would have the transmission checked out. I have not heard back from him. Had my truck checked by tow other garages. Pearsons garage and Interstate Transmission, both saying it was not a transmission problem. Interstate transmission diagnosed and rebuilt my transfer case on 8/19/14. They also told me the transmission now in my truck is bad that they put in.Desired Settlement: Because of the wrong diagnosis, I would like refunded 1: Cost of unneeded transmission $250.002. Cost of Jays changing of transmission change out $559.24 Cost of unneeded rental car for 10 days $305.25 want my old transmission back and put back in my truck to original state and no charge$. Cost of replacing bad seal of unneeded transmission $70.00
