Review: Went there to do my 2013 taxes. The staff and customer services are rude and unprofessional starting with receptionists all the way to [redacted] himself.

Dropped my paperwork and was told to expect a call in a few days when its completed. Two weeks later I called them myself, since no call was revived from JBM. In very rude manner I was told not to waste their time by calling - "when its ready we will call you". So I waited another week and nothing happened. Called again to check on status and was told to come pick up my stuff. Upon arrival I found out that my taxes aren't ready and JBM ([redacted]) decided to give it back to me and refused providing service to me. The reason - "too much for them to calculate" and "they are overbooked". While I was talking to one of their rep, another one sitting next to us, had sing up 2 more new clients.

I requested to speak with a manager, who was hiding in his office the whole time. He came out and did not even looked at me or said hello - talked to the representative in spanish for few minutes and left.

The rep stated that there was nothing they can help me with, she said that manager suggested I take my paperwork and leave.

That there crossed the line for me - I asked to provide me with written statement explaining a reason for denying services. Answer was -no one there had authority to write letter like that. Finally rep went to [redacted]'s office and got him involved.

Another 25 minutes of waiting and I am in his office. Talked about the experience I had with his staff, but Ben did not seem to care much. He said "we get a lot of people that come and ask us to do illegal stuff, thats why the rep and manager acted like they acted". That did not explain a thing .

He then said that I am missing some paperwork and suggested to come back on Saturday or Sunday which ever day is more convenient for me - he will be there both days and will work with me personally. When I asked if [redacted] had a chance to at least look through my paperwork briefly, since he had it for 3 weeks - he said yes, looks like you gonna owe $5,000. He said his services would cost me $495.

$500 for pretty simple return - I got a house and school deduction, as well as some deductible miles, since I drive my vehicle for work.

Anyways, I agreed to meet with him on Saturday with all the necessary paperwork and he promised to personally take care of my return during our meeting (no more waiting for me).

Well, he never showed up to the office for our appointment on Saturday.

I came back Sunday hoping to see him and finally get my taxes done - he is not there , rep tells me.

I need to drive about 15 miles one way to get to their office and my Sunday visit was #5 .

I was really frustrated and asked for my w2's back - did not want to deal with them any more. Rep said - we cant find them, come back Monday. She said they are not allowed to look for it in Ben's office and they are not allowed to call him about business matters when he is at home.

On Monday I finally got my paperwork back - did not get any apologies or anything out of no one in that place. Only thing I heard from them on Monday was - " we normally have a $160 cancellation fee .... but you dont have to pay it"... seriously ???? what a nice gesture, thank you so much!!! I probably burned 100$ worth of gas already!!!Desired Settlement: I would like to receive a letter from JBM explaining the reason I was denied services, and mistreated by their representatives, managers and even owner, who missed 2 appointments with me. I would like the letter to include apology from JBM staff and [redacted] personally.

I would like JBM to reimburse me for gas, that I spent driving to my meetings with [redacted]. The reimbursement should include at least 2 appointments I drove to and from , which [redacted] missed, and 1 more time I had to go there to pick up my W2. In total 90 miles of driving which equals to at least $20 of gas and car ware and tare.
