Review: RE: Frame off restoration of antique collector car. The body to frame is not aligned and as a result the vehicle doors bind. Upon opening and closing the vehicle doors the windshield and cowl move forward upon closing. The route cause is believed to be neglect in the re-assembly of positioning the body mounts in the as-found placement to the vehicles frame. This negligence in alignment also prohibits the convertible top from proper operation (alignment) and adds to the misalignment of the front fenders and hood.Several bolts from the body to the frame were sheared (snapped off) during the body removal and not replaced. There was improper use of shims from the body to the frame (some rubbers shims believed purchased at a big box store rather than at an auto supply). Windshield has fine scratches over the entire surface. (Windshield was in excellent condition when delivered to JC Custom) It appears to have been wiped with an abrasive material i.e. [redacted] or steel wool??Paint chipped on front fenders at the edges including doors edges and door openings due to misalignment.Fender skirts were not painted as agreed upon. Was to install brace on gas neck filler. (agreed to be installed by employee) Wide white wall tires destroyed with paint and chemicals (these tires were in excellent condition. (I had thoughts of replacing the tires with radial tires in the future to improve the ride and handling now Im forced to do so.)Parts missing: Hood guides both sides, (4) wheel beauty rings. Possibly more parts are missing as Im unable to make a determination at this point in time. I visited JC Custom in August 2014 and discussed the above with Jeremy G[redacted] and was assured by him (the proprietor) that all would be corrected. He claimed they had not finished the alignment of the body and job was not completed as of yet. The car was shipped to Florida on the word and assurance from Mr. G[redacted] the car was completed. I've paid the full amount due for the completed restoration as agreed.Desired Settlement: The owner of JC Customs was asked how he would like to handle the botched restoration job via email. I'm trying to work with Mr. G[redacted] but I'm not any response to my email. Shipping the car back to JC Customs [redacted] PA is not an option. This job was to take 6-8 months to complete and he kept the car for almost 3 years. I am willing to take the car to a local shop in Florida (mutually agreed upon) to have the above issues rectified. The cost of work to be absorbed by JC Customs.
