We tried to refinance our mortgage and had an appraisal done through the bank. JC Norby was assigned the appraisal. The appraisal came back extremely low, to the point it was less than we owed on the house. I contacted JC Noble and asked them to take a second look at the appraisal to no avail. We decided to get another appraisal done and the second appraisal came back with a $35,500 difference. We feel that JC Noble did not provide a fair appraisal. It was also mentioned that the subject doing the appraisal was a commercial appraiser and was picking up some extra work as the regular residential appraiser was offwhich may have contributed to the difference.
