JDR Towing

Review: This company illegally towed my vehicle on 03/29/2014 from [redacted] Condominiums located at [redacted] Ny [redacted].I was Visiting a friend in the late evening arriving on or after 10.00 pm.I decide to leave approximately 3am and to my dismay my car was no longer there. After inspecting the site and saw no evidence of tampering I concluded that my vehicle must have been towed. Upon further inspection of my friends Home owners association documentation a listed contractor for these services was listed being JDR Towing. I immediately requested information as to why my vehicle had been towed, I was met with a rude response "you didn't have a permit displayed". Without argument I decided to meet at their impound location in which I paid 175 dollars to receive my vehicle back. Not being local ,my attorney sleeping at 4am in the morning and unable to obtain a subpoena for a "minor case" I reluctantly paid the illegal charges to get my car back. While looking through the home owners association documentation it states that all guest have 24 hours to park without a display of a permit in which clearly I did not extend pass the mandated grace period. Attending a conference just 2 hours prior in which over 100 men and women can confirm my location as well as written affidavits can be obtained,one of which is from the national director of the conference establishes unconditional and numerous alibis to my whereabouts for the evening. This being said it was impossible for my vehicle to have spent any more than 8 hours on premises clearly not violating the terms outlined by the association.Thus my vehicle was illegally impounded and further action will be pursued.Desired Settlement: A certified managers Check shall be mailed to my premises in full refund amount of charges incurred due to illegal manners of possession of my vehicle.

Review: I came to visit my brother from [redacted] to [redacted]), I reached here on 4/1/2013 and arrived at 3:45 AM. On 4/2/2013 @ 2:17am my car was towed from the visors spot of my brother's complex. The sign says you can can park there for or one night or one day. I wasn't even parked there for a full 24 hrs. so why was my car towed? I got off work late in ** so I have proof that it wasn't even possible for me to be in the state before 3:45am as it takes 4 and 1/2 hrs. to drive to [redacted]. In addition, I was not parked there the whole time as we were out all day on 4/1/13. The rep their [redacted] that was working even told me that they assumed that I was parked longer but still would not give me my car without payment. He said it doesn't matter they can do what they want to do. He called his someone speaking [redacted] (as I only speak english so I don't know what he said) then he said are you paying or turning over your car to us.Desired Settlement: I'm requesting that I be reimbursed for the $150 that is actually not only wrong but over the amount they should be charging for this back. Unfair towing practices should not be allowed and I'm looking to the Revdex.com to help stop this. Thank you for your time.
