Review: On April *, 2014 - I flew from Jacksonville Florida to New York for the premiere of a new broadway play, A Raisin in the Sun. In preparation for my big Broadway night, I was advised by the front desk at [redacted] to try the salon inside, [redacted]. I was told they were extremely good. So on Saturday, April [redacted] around 1:00pm, I went in to redo my blonde highlights. I was assigned [redacted], a colorist. I sat and very carefully consulted with [redacted] & her coworker Orlando about the color and trim I wanted. I fully disclosed my expectations. After 5 1/2 hours in her chair, I was transitioned to the another stylist, [redacted], for my trim & style. It was then I discovered the horror. Due to my hair being wet when I left the colorist chair, I could not immediately notice the result of my highlights. It wasn't until after she began to blowout the first few strands of my hair that I immediately noticed a 'spotting' affect where it appeared that my hair was streaked with copper colored tones , brassy yellow tones of blonde and clumps of my natural dark brown hair peaking through. I was MORTIFIED! This has never happened to me before. [redacted] acted as if she didn't noticed the unmistakeable mix matched color and tried to nonchalantly continue. I had to MAKE her stop, call [redacted] back over and address the obvious errors. Not only was my hair streaked all over with brassy copper tones that were supposed to be BLONDE, it is now almost 6pm and time is running out, as my play begins PROMPTLY at 8pm and the risk of me being late for the play was great. This also frustrated me because there are NO refunds on Broadway and this was my ONLY reason to fly to NY for vacation, was to see this new play. There wasn't much time to spare. In spite of my hurt, stress, and frustration - I kept my composure not to alarm the other clients and sat quietly waiting for the issue to be corrected. Nonchalantly [redacted] and [redacted] rattled off back and forth in FRENCH and told me not to worry and they would fix it immediately. The hurry to fix my hair ended in complete disaster and made my color worst! Now I am left with a head of greenish, gray...brown hair and what was left of my original blonde highlights have been smothered with an apparent brown colored dye that was used to cover up the horror [redacted] had committed. They admitted to their errors and hurried to blow my hair and barely style it, which was nothing according to what I DESIRED. I asked for big waves and volume and I received a blowout that left my hair bone straight and NO WAVES in sight. Although I was hurt and upset,not once did I show my anger, disrupt the environment or worst, refuse to pay. I don't behave this way but if I did, I would have had ALL RIGHT TO! I explained to her how unhappy I was. Again, nonchalantly she told me my total which was over $330 and I gasped in complete disbelief that she would even consider charging me full price. I disputed the fees asking her clearly if she thought that it was fair to charge full price for this botched color job and lifeless do. Her excuse was that they had to use a lot of product and that product was costly. This infuriated me even more. The thought that she would dare offer an excuse and consider her cost of inventory over the value of my time & dissatisfaction as a customer and then not compensate for the errors THEY caused! Hurt deeply. She then said she could discount ancillary services like the deep conditioner and the style, but that only her [redacted] could authorize anything more. This was an even deeper insult because it was as if they were skirting the real issue and not taking responsibility for their errors. She then explained they would hold $287.58 on my card until the [redacted] calls me and that she would rectify it from there. I wanted to be fair and give this "[redacted]" an opportunity to fix this. I cooperated in good faith and left the salon 715pm at checkout in the salon and I am forced to hurry out to salvage what's left of my vacation and head to the play in hopes of making it on time. As of Monday April [redacted] at 10:32 am- NO [redacted] HAS CALLED. MY ACCOUNT WAS DEBITED THE FULL AMOUNT AND I AM FURIOUS.Desired Settlement: I want to be refunded the cost of the color services, $199 - $245. I am unsure of exact amount because I was not given an exact explanation of charges. It is a tragedy how I was treated and receiving a refund on all coloring services would cover the cost I will now have to pay ANOTHER salon to correct their mistakes. I have yet to receive a call. I have called the salon countless times to no avail. I would appreciate a response in hopes that you can rectify this issue.
