Revdex.com: I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.] The business never told us not to walk on the steps And it that was the case then when they installed them they would have done that because they were [redacted] on them as they install the going up the steps Also then they came out to look at the problem they tryed to fix it by adding more nails to the steps which made it worse, it made them go down more The problem with the installation was that the back section was not cut correctly making the front to be to high Why is it just random steps that are not level and not all 15? We feel that they are just trying not to fix their mintage We called them right away that night after we put our own level on the problem steps and I know for a fact they never used a level when they install them Regards, [redacted]

The business called today to say they are ordering new steps and will go out and fix themIt is going to take 2-weeks

The business never told us not to walk on the steps.  And it that was the case then when they installed them they would have done that because they were [redacted] on them as they install the going up the steps.
Also then they came out to look at the problem they tryed to fix it by adding more nails to the steps which made it worse, it made them go down more.

The problem with the installation was that the back section was not cut correctly making the front to be to high.  Why is it just 3 random steps that are not level and not all 15?

We feel that they are just trying not to fix their mintage.  We called them right away that night after we put our own level on the 3 problem steps and I know for a fact they never used a level when they install them.

The business called today to say they are ordering 3 new steps and will go out and fix them. It is going to take 2-3 weeks.

The business called and stated that since the work was done with glue the customer was told not to walk on the stairs before they were completely dry. The business starts from the bottom and works...

up the stairs each time they do this job. They do this by walking gently up the sides of the stairs instead of heavy straight up the middle. The business states that on multiple occasions the customer was told there had too much traffic on the stairs and that they would need to wait until they were completely dry before walking on them so they were not damaged.  The business is not going to replace or repair the wood because it was not a problem with anything the business did, but was caused by the customer walking on them before they were completely done.

Review: We had wood stairs laid in our new home by [redacted]wood floors the last November 2013 as well flooring in 4 bedrooms. During installation [redacted] put the stairs in place starting at the bottom, and worked their way to the top. Upon completion of the stairs late that night we discovered that three of the steps were not level. We contacted [redacted] immediately, and he told us he would be out to see them. After many weeks and phone calls he sent out another person in his employ that simply took his nail gun out and proceeded to add many nails per step to try and even them out. Which obviously did not improve them, and now they have way too many nails in each step. Then after many more weeks and phone calls [redacted] came out and basically told us it was our fault that we had walked on the stairs before they were dry witch he never told us not to go on them, as well as we did not use the stairs until late that night. Also, if that were the case, then he walked up and down each of the lower steps to install all of the upper ones. So it cannot be the case. He never used a level while installing the steps. After he finally came to look at the steps the first week of January, he told us he would have the step manufacturer come out and look at them, but that never happened. We asked him if he stood behind his work, he told me yes he did and that the steps were fine, it did not matter if they were level. We asked him to fix them, or refund our money so we could have them fixed by someone else. He has refused, and will not return our calls. All we want is for him to replace the three steps that are not level.Desired Settlement: Repair / replace the three steps that are not level.
