Review: I called Jefferson Florist on Friday, May 6th to order a windchime and flower spray for a funeral viewing. I spoke with the owner himself who seemed friendly enough and told me that he actually went to school with the deceased. He told me he would send the "Carson-Amazing Grace" windchimes to the [redacted] Funeral Home on Saturday, May 7th. I ordered this windchime for my co-worker that lost her mother. I attended the viewing and funeral on Saturday, May 7th, but the windchimes were not delivered. Jefferson Florist had shown up that morning to deliver the spray above the casket and also delivered several other arrangements, but not my order. I called the Florist Monday morning, May 9th and I was able to leave a message. They did not return my call, so I called again on Tuesday, but their mailbox was full. I continued to call several times a day that entire week. That Friday, May 13th, I went to their store at 12:30pm, during normal business hours, but the doors were locked. My co-worker then told me that the owner had stopped by her father's house, the man that lost his wife, and told him that he was unable to fill all of the orders that were placed for the funeral home because it was Prom weekend and Mothers Day weekend, so he simply ran out of items. He said that he would be back to drop some additional items off to his house later. This is not an acceptable excuse. You do not take an order that you cannot fill and you certainly don't accept payment for an order you cannot fill. My co-worker received phone calls from other friends asking if they received their arrangements that were ordered through Jefferson Florist, but again, the family never received them. I got ahold of my credit card company and confirmed that Jefferson Florist charged my credit card $100.40 on 5/7/2016 and it posted to my account on 5/9/2016. Last week, I again called the store every single day, but no one will answer the phone and the mailbox is still full. I found their Facebook page and sent them a private message last week, but again, no response. At this point, I'm stuck. I heard that they were opened last Saturday and several folks stopped to complain that they never received their Mothers Day arrangements that someone ordered for them and he tried to make amends by giving them flowers. I wish I had known the shop was open that day so that I could have gone down and talked to someone. I tried calling the store again this morning, but again, no answer.Desired Settlement: I would like the store to issue me a refund OR deliver the windchimes that I ordered to the grieving family. These windchimes were supposed to have the first 2 verses of Amazing Grace engraved on the chimes, according to the owners description. They sounded beautiful. I wish he would have filled the order and delivered them to the funeral home.
