Patient presented in our office in need of crowns needing to be recemented The crowns were not done by our office X-rays taken revealed decay present and confirmed by exam Prior to recementation - the patient was informed of the need to repair/build up / replace these restorations Patient only wanted them recemented But, in order for recementation, the area had to be cleaned of decay and prepared for the recementation There is no ADA code for this procedure The area was prepared and the crowns recemented She was not charged for the recementation, only the preparation beforehand A subsequent call to and from her insurance plan confirmed such as did a conversation with the area representativeAt no point was there a question as to treatment needed or the quality of treatment performed This became an issue for the patient when there was a fee rendered for these services
