Jellystone Warrens Camping and Water Resort

We've been going to this campground for our annual vacation since 2013. It used to be a great place to go to but every single year they change their rules on discounts and how and when they can be used. NOW they wont even let us use our Good Sam membership discount if we take any of their discounts, though we pay for a membership with Good Sam and they are two different entities!! It's not like they don't make a ton of money off us already and can't afford to let us use our prior ok'd discounts but it's the fact that they change it every single year and then tell me "we had this rule last year but are now enforcing it". That's bull...I want others to know that this place rips you off so be careful! Also, if you ask them to even quote you a stay, you'll get a different amount every time!

Review: The campground made a mistake doing my reservations. They charged me for two nights that I wasn't there. Refusing to refund my money for the two nights that I wasn't there. Originally I reserved June 13th and 14th, leaving on the 15th. Then I called on Tuesday June 10th to see if I could come a day early, June 12th. When I got there on the 12th, They didn't have my paperwork at the guard house. Missing the paperwork, they sent me down the road to another camprground. After turning my vehicle around and leaving, I checked my records, and realized I was at the right place. So I went back. My paperwork wasn't at the guard shack, because they thought I was coming in on the 11th. I went in side to straighten it out, and was informed very rudely, "they don't make mistakes". That they were charging me for the night before that I wasn't there. At that time, they also informed me that I had reservations through Monday! That they were charging me on the backside for another night that I wasn't staying. At that piont I was very upset, but relieved that I had a place to stay for the weekend and went off on my way. When I told my wife of the situation, she went down to the office to explain the situation. Getting nowhere, we left on SUnday morning and I tried calling them to speak to a manager. A lady named [redacted] said she would review my claim with a manager and get back to me on 6/20/14 by noon. Noon came and went and I heard nothing from them, so I reached out on Facebook. THere reply was to call them and gave a number. The number was invalid Here is a copy and paste of the conversation:

[redacted] Worst service at a campground ever! They screwed up my reservations and then blamed it on me! Took me for two nights that I wasn't even there. Spending the gas and the drive to the Dells next time for sure.

[redacted] So you give me a number that doesn't work? This just proves that your help is human and makes mistakes, just like charging me for two nights that I wasn't there. I was belittled by the lady that runs the desk, saying you don't make mistakes. Then when I tried to speak to [redacted], she said she would have a decision by today, noon. I hadn't heard so I reach out on your facebook, and you give me a number that doesn't work? really?????? If I were one of those bears, I would go back into hibernation.

30 mins · LikeDesired Settlement: I have yet to get a receipt for the transaction from the campground! I did confirm with my credit card that they did charge me. All I wanted was a refund for the two nights that I wan't there. At this piont I think they should/could do better than that, for my time and trouble.
