I do not recommend JH Landscaping. I contacted this company to reseed a large section of my lawn. They came out and provided me a written estimate of the work needed. A price was agreed upon and a proposal was signed. I was told that they would start the work in about a week. Two weeks later they still had not showed up so I tried to contact the company. I left a number of voice message but my calls were not returned. After several days of calling and getting no answer, I finally got someone at the company. I was told they would be out the following Wednesday. When they did not should up on that day, I called again and was told they would be here on the following Friday. And again they did not show, or bother to call. This company may do good work if they show up, but that is a big if. They are not reliable or very professional. For these reasons I can not recommend this company.

Review: Today I ordered 5 yds. of screened loam to be delivered to my home. I had a crew waiting to work in the yard.

I was informed of the price and time of delivery.

When the truck arrived, the "loam" was dumpded in the yard.

I gave the driver a check for the amount of the delivery.

When the workers came to spread the loam we found that it was not screened and was full of rocks and sticks.

I telephoned the office of the business - was told the boss was on the road and would call back. I called a second and third time during the business day and was given the same answer the boss was on a job and would call later.

It is now 9:30pm and I have not heard anything.

The workers I had hired tried to do some raking but found it too full of rocks and said they could screen it for me, but there would be an additional charge for doing that.

I told them to quit working on it and I would let them know the outcome after I heard from the owner of the company.

They said they had another job to go to and weren't sure when they could come back to me.Desired Settlement: I feel the company owes me 5 yds of SCREENED loam and the removal of the junk they delivered !!!

The customer ordered 3/4" screened loam, this is what was delivered. When the loam is screened, sometimes 1/2" stone gets through. The customer was not satisfied, we returned her check. The loam was given to her at no cost. We have never had a complaint about loam before.

I ordered 5 yds of screened loam to be delivered in a low bed truck. The woman whom I made the order with said I couldn't get 5 yds in a low bed truck so I changed the order to 4 yds. When the truck arrived, it was a large truck with 5 yds of loam on it. There was never any mention of

3/4 screening. I don't even know what that is. There were small rocks in the mixture, but many, many rocks that were up to 5/6 inches in diamiture. I have several neighbors who will attest to these facts. I never mentioned in my original complaint that in dumping the truck several limbs of surrounding trees were broken off. You can check that with the truck driver. And, I have had to spent several hundred dollars to have the loam hand screened onsite! They are not very professional. I am in the real estate business and have dealt with many contractors - this company is a total flop in my estimation. They sent a poor product. I shall tell all I know of their shoddy material and failure to make the "customer" happy!! [redacted]
