Review: JJ did a chip and seal on our upper parking lot road. the chip and seal did not stick and he did not fill potholes with asphalt as specified in the contract. Road currently is in the same shape as before he chipped and sealed the road. We have tried numerous times to contact JJ with no response.Desired Settlement: Would like entire amount issued to JJ refunded as services were not provided as specified in the contract.

Review: I contracted with [redacted] to fill major cracks on my existing asphalt driveway, and then apply a top-coat to the entire driveway on 7/23/14. He promised that he would fill the existing cracks with a cold-patch asphalt in one inch increments, tamp it down, and then apply the top -coat sealer. I was home when they arrived on 7/24 to begin work, but I had to leave shortly thereafter. When I returned, I was dismayed to find the driveway improved in a very superficial manner. Cold-patch asphalt had been swept into the cracks but not tamped down, and I was able to remove loose particles with my fingers. When [redacted], the son, came to request payment, I expressed my disappointment over shoddy workmanship, and he promised to return the following morning to add another layer of patch material to the cracks and to reseal those areas Unfortunately, I paid him in full, and he never returned as promised. I could not stop payment on the check I'd written, as he had cashed it at my bank within minutes of leaving my residence. This company should not be allowed to continue their "bait and switch" in a neighborhood of retired, elderly residents.Desired Settlement: I want this father and son outfit to finish the job they promised to do, without threats of retaliation in any manner. In return, I won't report them to our covenant association as bait and switch predators in the neighborhood.

Business owner states that he did not do the original driveway work, and feels the driveway should not have been paved. Business owner states the original work was done by an unlicensed operation out of state. Owner states he has been back out to the property to fix what he could fix, and will stand behind his workmanship. If the consumer has any additional complaints please contact the business owner.
