Review: Refusal to issue a refund for services that were not utilized. Neglect to answer phone calls and messages by management . Run around, and incompetence by office staff regarding refund, and promises that has not been kept by management.Desired Settlement: A total refund amount for $2300.00 for Value Guard services that were not utilized. Cancellation of these services were made immediately after vehicle purchase (9/2012).

Review: In the end of July, beginning of August of this year I was approved of a loan to purchase a car. This was a great way for me to build my credit, so my husband and I took the opportunity. We purchased a 2013 Dodge Avenger SE. Due to very unfortunate circumstances and my husband passing only a few weeks after the purchase, we were flooded with funeral expenses and bills and are now unable to pay for the car payments and insurance as well. I called both the dealership and creditor and I also went into the dealership which refused to do a flat transfer and the creditor ([redacted]) will only refinance if the buyout price is paid in full. I also explained the situation to both the creditor and the dealership and they are only suggested that I do a voluntary repossession. [redacted] stated that the repossession department will contact me but they never did. I agreed to the voluntary repossession but when I realized that It will not only run money out of my pockets but mess up the bit of credit that I have established that allowed my approval for the loan to begin with. So now that we are trying all these alternatives and realized that the retail price of the car is about 18-19 thousand dollars and Star Auto took the entire loan amount of 25- almost 26 thousand dollars that [redacted] approved me of. So it's hard to try and sell the car to a private owner, get the car refinanced and even trading it in to a dealership. Many places I have tried will buy the car from me but it still leaves me paying at least 10 thousand dollars out of pocket to have the full buyout prices paid in full. Star Auto Group in [redacted], NY is a ripoff and only saw my husband and I as two suckers. I'm stuck and I don't know what else to do. Do I sacrifice my credit or do I try to fight this?! I refuse to have another person be held victim to the scams they are trying to get away with.Desired Settlement: Deduct the actual retail price from the loan amount and reimburse [redacted] of the almost 8 thousand dollars extra that they took as payment for the car. So that I can either get the car sold or have a lesser out of pocket cost if a private owner or dealership decides to but the car from me below its retail value cost.

[redacted], AS PER OUR CONVERSATION [redacted] PURCHASED A 2013 DODGE AVENGER IN JULY 2013, UNFORTUNATLEY HER HUSBAND DIED 2 MONTHS LATER AND OF COURSE THE VALUE OF THE CAR IS NOT THE SAME AS WHEN SHE BOUGHT IT.

BUT IT LOOKS LIKE SHE STOPPED PAYING THE PAYMENTS AND THE BANK WANTS THE CAR BACK. UNFORTUNATLEY I CAN NOT HELP HER ESPECIALLY IF SHES IN DEFALT OF THE LOAN.
