I am rejecting this response because: I submitted the claim form to Jason E*** on April 7, along with photos of damage He has refused to file it nor work with us to resolve the matter He also refused to provide me with the name of the insurer And the owners have not responded as I attempted to escalate a resolution to them as working with MrE*** has been difficult. MrE*** violated Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration guidelines by charging us over 110% of the original estimate for our move, an amount that was also miscalculated as he tried to double charge us for the hour drive by charging us for both a labor hour and a driving hour Even his Crew Member agreed he didn't understand MrEdward's calculation and we documented the correct amount on the form he had MrE*** has since altered the form by whiting this out and adding in additional inaccurate informationMrE*** agreed to accept our half payment and our understanding was that he would remedy all of the problems before being paid the 2nd half of payment His unwillingness to follow through or provide any good faith efforts has led us to feel incredibly wary and untrusting of himMrE*** is trying to make a big hoopla about his Crew calling the police, when in fact, we called the police first due to one of his Crew members hitting a parked car with the moving truck This actually resulted in a police report because it was a proper use of police resources vstrying to intimidate one's customers by calling the police I'm not sure who was communicating about what a "great day" it was MrEdward's crew was tired and there were some very negative attitudes throughout the day, some unprofessional behavior and carelessness Despite all the mishaps, we tried to maintain a positive attitude and hope that the moving company would remedy all the damage, but as it became clear MrE*** was not trustworthy it was hard to stay positive MrE*** claiming he spoke to us during the day and we told him things were "great" is just a lie When we spoke it was to report about the damage issues and try to work out a arrangements to get them addressed, which MrE*** initially assured me would be handled, but in reality nothing has been addressed MrE*** states he has repair men on hand to fix the wall, but when I offered him the opportunity to send them out to fix it he refused to do so The home of origin was on the market and a delay in repairs was not feasible And again, I did file the form with MrE*** So, I am rejecting the response in that it isn't really much of a response at all He is not offering to try to resolve anything and doesn't seem to even understand the extent of what went wrong that day

On March 28th Hire A Hand Moving, moved **& *** *** From Rockland, DE to Harleysville, PAThere were Movers and TrucksCrew Started at 8:30am and worked until 7:00pm that eveningEverything was going great on the job the entire dayThe office called the crew several time
to check on them and see how things we’re goingSales man also called customer and was told everything was greatAt one point throughout the day at the Origin Residence, one of the Crew Members tripped and fell down the steps and knocked a night table that he had in his hands, into the wallCustomer called Hire A Hand Moving and explain what happened and in states the Crew Member was ok***stated that there was a whole that was put into the wall from Crew Member fallingSales Men explained that there wasn’t anything we could do that the moment that once the move was completed she will have to file a damage claimMrsunderstood and the move continued throughout the dayWhen the Crew left Rockland, DE to head to Harleysville, PA to deliver the HHG to the new homeAgain, office stayed in touch with Crews and Customer at the end of the moveCrew Leader was finalizing the Bill Of LadingCrew leader called Hire A Hand Moving office and indicated that customer was paying his billThat he’ll pay his bill once the wall was fix at the Origin AddressSales men explain to customer that they can’t file a claim until payment for the move was receivedMrtold sales men that he’s not paying anything until it was fix his wallCrew Members onsite had to call the police and get a police report numberFinally, after police got to the Harleysville Address customer stated to the police that he never said that he wasn’t paying that he would only pay halfPolice offices state that this would have to be a small claims court issue that we would have to handle it that wayCustomer did pay a portion of the bill that evening but still owes $1,that they refuse to pay. We have repair services on hand to fix the damaged wall The customer has not filed the appropriate claims forms to have the wall repaired and they have not paid their move in full Salesman explained that the claim form would need to be filed also.
