Review: We spent approximately 15,000- $20,000 for extensive masonry work including a large stoop, driveway, and back yard patio. The design was beautiful and we very happily reccomended JMG to friends. When installed, we were informed brick work is the sturdiest means as opposed to wood, or other materials and should last for the duration of our stay in our home. Within a short period of time, the bricks and mortar began to crack resulting in our railing beginning to loosen. The [redacted] came and repaired some of the brick, however the mortar used did not match and the work was once again shoddy. Also, we noted several areas were sagging. Last month I was walking on my patio, and my foot literally fell through the brick. Multiple bricks began to collapse at that point leaving a gaping whole in my patio that was supposed to last 20 years. I called [redacted], and to his credit, he did come to my home. He had multiple excuses for this including Hurricane Sandy, and the location of my house. I found this interesting because we never had water damage, not even during Hurricane Sandy, and almost every one of my neighbors has brick that pre exist ours and was unaffected by the storm. If [redacted] felt the location of my home did not provide a sustainable environment for brick work than I would also question the integrity of his sales approach. For some of the damage, he admitted he had "no reasonalbe excuse". [redacted] said he would return to make the repairs, however he did not do so. In the meantime, we began calling in other masons and were consistently informed that the problem was that JMG used a cement foundation of only about 1 inch thick when the standard is 4 inches of cement under the bricks. No wonder I continue to have multiple spots that are sagging. I spent $1,000 repairing the damage alone this season. As we have alot of brick work, and the sagging spots cannot be repaired until they actually fall through, I expect we will continue to spend money annually on repairs unless we decide to rip it out and start again. Not to mention our friends who also used JMG had even worse damage to their home. We installed brick largely because we were informed this would be low maintenace and now we will be making repairs consistently. Every time my kids and their friends play in the yard I will worry about the integrity of our patio. I am deeply disappointed and frustrated.Desired Settlement: I no longer trust JMG to make repairs as needed, and believe I should be refunded the money I spent on this job. Not only did I pay for labor, but as the bricks collapse, I will need to replace them as well.

[redacted] had said he would come out in April to fix the bricks. When he didnt contact me by the end of April, I called to inform him that I filed an official complaint. [redacted] said he didn't need to deal with my "stupidity" adding that the complaint would be removed eventually.
